About the Pooch Playground: Located on a scenic working farm (you may see tractors or people at a distance), this fully enclosed ¼-acre space sits beside a small woodland, offering peace and privacy. The nearby field is preserved for wildlife. The perimeter of the spot is left a bit wild, so it is more enriching for dogs. Grass Care: We mow weekly on the highest setting—grass stays longer than a golf course but never over ankle height. This protects the lawn from wear and dog urine. We also leave small "islands" of taller grass for sniffing fun. Shade & Seating: There isn’t much natural shade. From about 11:00 AM on, there is shade along the fence line closest to the woods. Feel free to move the chairs to a shady spot if needed. Frisbees: Free to take home! Pool Info: The water may look cloudy due to an algae inhibitor and barley treatment—it’s safe for dogs. Other Notes: We do morning and evening chores, so you may see us around. The garden, house, and barn are far enough away that it's rarely a disruption. Lost a toy in the tall grass? Fully fenced in approximately two acres. We now have lighting for nighttime use. Approximately five times around the property perimeter equals a mile. We have chuck-it throws and balls, many toys, sand/digging areas, pools and agility equipment in a large, fenced area for you and your dog to romp around. Main entrance to the yard can be found by entering the second driveway and parking in the designated parking area in front of the solar barn. We do not plow that driveway in the winter as it’s just gravel. So, feel free to park at the bottom of my driveway and walk to the SS gate if you’re not comfortable using the SS driveway in the winter. We ask that you please adhere to our 24 hour notice when changing or canceling a reservation. We are always fully booked on weekends and most weekdays too. My name is Seth and I've been a lifelong dog owner. I've always loved getting out for adventures and finding new spots to let dogs romp off leash. My dogs Boss and Kona were temperamental with other dogs so it was always important to find safe spots to let them off leash. They were the inspiration for my fenced in backyard! Kona passed in September 2022 and Boss passed in July 2023, so I've opened up the space to those who might need a fenced in area to help their dog(s) expend that energy! We believe a tired dog is a happy dog, and an even happier owner 😉

Our farm is open fields, tons of trees to play hide and seek in, and lots of riverfront area for dogs to swim. There are ungroomed “walking trails” that go around the entire property. Center of property tends to be wet. My personal dogs will remain inside the house while you are here. Bring your own poop bags please. Dogs with good recall are allowed off leash, at your own risk, please. We love all breeds of dogs with every quirk and ability. We respect that all dogs have different temperaments; all dogs are welcome, no matter how they feel towards strangers or other animals. We will do our 100% best to ensure no person or domestic animal will bother you on your adventure here. Longhill Dog Park in Dover, New Hampshire is a fully fenced enclosure where dogs can play safely. Welcome to our Sniffspot—where dogs can truly be dogs! We chose this home for its large, private yard and created a safe, fun space for pups to run, play, and sniff to their heart’s content. The front of the yard features a 6-foot privacy fence, while the rest is enclosed with a combination of 6-foot wood, chain link, and heavy-duty wire fencing. It’s fully secure and suitable for both large and small dogs. Your pup will love exploring the variety of scents left behind by local wildlife—birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and the occasional raccoon or fox make for an exciting visit! Huge fenced in yard with lots of room for dogs to run and plenty of nooks and crannies to sniff and explore. Shaded and sunny areas. Hammocks, adirondack chairs in yard and deck with outside furniture for dog parents to sit and relax as their dogs play. 1/2 the yard can be lighted at night by hanging lights. Quarter acre of grass, fully fenced. Kiddie pool just for dogs! While my fence is intact, I would advise caution for tiny breed escape artists who can potentially squeeze through small gaps. This has not been an issue in my experience with friends’ small dogs though.
