55We will definitely be back!
It is really two sniff spots in one. First there is a very large field, as wide as the open space dog park in Ferndale. You could Frisbee and chuck-it to your dog's heart's content. My dog, part border collie, immediately did a long hard bolt. But the thing we both loved most was the woods area. Lovely and large, it felt more like a national Park then personal acreage.
Pointers:
+ The owner was a great blend of friendly and giving us space. After introducing us to the sniff spot she retreated to let us enjoy. You could tell she put a lot of love into this place. Although we did not need it, she was also sensitive to giving us privacy and keeping their dogs away.
+ The wooded area was wonderful. Lots of little trails, which had been minimally but sufficiently developed. And surrounded by large trails that came with a map in several places.
+ There were orange markers along the trail, so you don't get lost. It is that big! I found that I used them more than I thought I would.
+ There were thoughtful, appreciated amenities like lots of dog waste bags available and water for both the dog and the human.
+ This is extremely well suited for a dog who is reactive to other dogs and needs a workout.
Considerations:
* It would not be a good sniff spot for people who have mobility issues. My friend -- who is getting ready for foot surgery and has to temporarily use a cane -- should not go there. You could get tripped up on the roots in the woods and there are some divets in the field.
* It is far away from Bellingham. Approximately 25 minutes from the Costco on West bakerview road. I will be going there less often because of that. The drive was beautiful though.
* It is apparently on the higher end of the cost scale for sniff spots. But for it was well worth the $16 for an hour of dog bliss.Tani B.

55Me and my puppy had a blast! I love that there are so many different areas to explore. We were able to work on his recall while he was running around on trails and then let him run his heart out by the orchard/fields. We will definitely be back.Haileigh G.

55This is a great spot and my 3rd being there! The host met me for the first visit and was very nice. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. It starts with a large open field. There is always plenty a pathways that are mowed. A large area of the field seems to be kept mowed for a great place to play fetch. The trail starts with a water station with water bowls and water, poop container, poop bags, drinks for people, a place to sit and a recycle bin for trash. The trails are well marked and we'll maintained with straw put down in places that might get muddy. The fence is great and my 60lb lab mix was well contained. The trails also have markers, maps and seating areas along the way. There aren't an abundance of "small creatures", so if you have one that like to chase them, I wouldn't be to concerned at this spot. The most we saw were birds. You don't hear any people when on the trails and you wouldn't know you weren't at a state park. You can occasionally hear some dogs when in the large field but not enough that it was distracting to my reactive dog and no dogs have ever been seen. This sniffspot has been a true gift to me and my pup, I can't recommend it enough!Kristin R.

55Wow! My dogs and I had the best time! It's such a beautiful setting, and so amazing to have two different landscapes. There is a large field that was full of yellow and white wildflowers. The grass is mowed in strategic places for humans, but the dogs enjoyed diving through the tall stuff at full speed. Further back on the property, you enter a beautiful little forest. There are trails in every direction and a central water station. I really appreciated the little touches like bug spray and water for humans. The dog water was ice cold and perfect for a hot day. The host has clearly worked hard to cover up muddy spots with hay, and I walked entry inch of those trails in sandals. The dogs found a seasonal pond that was mostly mud and I encouraged them to wade and roll-- after all, I was there for them to have fun! We would go back to the field to run, then retreat to the woods to cool off. It was perfect. The host is lovely. The property is amazing and clean! I can't wait to visit again. Ashley M.

55What a great spot for the pups to explore. Plenty of trails, trees, and space, as well as a creek to splash around in. The fence was secure and I felt totally comfortable letting my two run free. Grace met me out front, as it was my first time using Sniff Spot, and was so warm and kind. I have two worn out pups- we will absolutely be back!Courtney V.

55 We cannot WAIT to go back here!! Our 3 dogs had more fun then I’ve ever seen them have! We have 1 dog that loves dogs parks, 1 dog that’s dog selective and we’re fostering a dog that’s nervous around strangers. This place fit all their needs. Also, a great place to practice off leash training. Plus, the host was so sweet and accommodating. Sommer S.

FAQ about our Seafair small dog parks
Are small dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by park users so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars.
How can I find small dog parks in Seafair?
There are 47 small dog parks in the Seafair area. The most popular small dog park is . You can browse all of our small dog parks here.
How do I know if a small dog park works for my dog?
Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing and distractions, to find a dog park that works for your furry friends. If your dog doesn't respond to owner commands, you can visit one of our enclosed dog park areas. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our small dog park sites where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can see any park amenities provided, including a park bench, water for dogs or water features such as kiddie pool or water hose. If your dog loves water, you can go to a park with water features, but if they don't love water, you can avoid them. We also recommend reading reviews to check for park maintenance issues and reaching out to the host with any questions. And lastly, of course, check park hours. Many of our parks are open from dawn until dusk.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot park?
We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that owners sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. We also require that pet owners follow safety protocols around water features.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot park at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
If you are planning an amazing small dog park party, each Sniffspot park has their own rules regarding special events. Many parks allow doggie birthday parties, training, water parties and other event types. Event organizers need to be responsible for their guests and event organizers should coordinate with the host regarding their fun party. Make sure the park has amenities you need for your party, such as a park with lots of picnic tables with park benches.
