Charlie's Hideaway fully fenced 9 acres in Black Forest

Fully Fenced
9 acres

We will be temporarily closed for the month of August for repairs and maintenance - September reservations can be made starting 8/1. See you in September! Welcome to Charlie’s Hideaway - your dog's new favorite adventure spot! 🐾🐾 This 9-acre, fully fenced native pasture (with 4’ wire square fencing) is made for sniffing, zoomies and exploring. Rolling hills, patches of short and tall grass & a sandy area give your pup plenty of variety to roam and investigate. This private space is also a great fit for reactive dogs or those who need a calm, low-traffic environment. Street parking is available near the entrance and a two-gate entry system provides an added layer of security - allowing you to enter at your own pace and help your dog transition calmly into the space. As you come through the gate, you'll find a covered canopy and welcome station with fresh water, clean bowls, poop bags, toys and towels - everything you need for a comfortable visit. Chairs are available so you can sit back, relax and soak in those gorgeous Pike Peak views while your dog does their thing. Wildlife sightings are part of the charm - you may see hawks overhead, rabbits in the grass and occasionally deer passing by. Two resident barn cats also live on the property, but they're very shy and rarely seen. Please help keep Charlie's Hideaway clean and enjoyable for everyone by picking up after your dog (poop bags are provided and a trash can is located at the gate). Please review the Sniffspot visitor guidelines before your visit and then come ready to enjoy a peaceful, private outing with your pup!

4th Mesa 7 acre Private Dog Park In Bailey

Fully Fenced
7 acres

10% of profits donated to local SPCA monthly. 7 acres of fenced forest to play on including a hiking trail for the pet owners! There is a switch back trail through the middle of the property marked by tree branches/logs and pink/green flags. Further trail description below the instructions. Best way to find the trail from the gate is to either follow the fence line up to the right all the way to the top of the property or walk straight up the gulley until you see the first green flag. The green flags mark the beginning and end of each switchback. There are 29 rows of switchbacks. Between the green flags there are pink flags to guide you with branches and logs to mark the left and right of each trail. There are a few places where the trail merges which is marked by 2 yellow flags. The last (or first depending on the ascent or descent chosen) trail row has yellow flags that have been colored pink (see pictures at the very end of the collage). It is about a 4 mile round trip hike if you follow the switch backs up then down (or vice versa). For you hiking purists the switchback rows are not perfectly parallel. This was a 3 year manual effort. The more ya’ll hike it the more visible it will be.

The Oregon Trail (Dog trail by Sedalia, CO)

Unfenced
30 acres

**ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING (OF ANY KIND) ON PROPERTY DUE TO FIRE RISK.** Private Mountain Forest Dog Adventure – Creek, Trails & Total Privacy. Let your dog explore 30 acres of private Colorado mountain forest with fresh air, tall pines, and peaceful trails. A groomed trail leads about ½ mile through Douglas fir and Ponderosa pine down to a quiet open creek area where dogs can run, explore, and cool off in the water.  -Can be muddy pending season (bring towel in case) The forest canopy keeps much of the trail shaded, and the creek area is often cooler on warm summer days, making it a great escape from the heat. This spot is perfect for dogs that love space, freedom, and the smells of the forest. Many guests come back regularly because their dogs can relax, roam, and explore without crowds. Wildlife are sometimes seen in the area, which adds to the peaceful mountain experience. Property Details • Approximately 30 acres of private forested land • Groomed walking trail leading to creek area • Shaded mountain terrain with beautiful views • Year-round creek access for dogs to drink or splash. Good to Know • This is a natural mountain property with uneven terrain, some areas are steep. • The property is unfenced • The county road forms the upper boundary and the creek forms the lower boundary • No smoking or open flames anywhere on the property due to wildfire risk • Please supervise dogs around the creek • Guests must have a completed Sniffspot profile with dog photos Winter time the small splash pond is drained during winter for safety, but the creek flows year-round.

Country Run's 58 Acre Private Ranch In Conifer

Partially Fenced
58 acres

Country Run's Private Ranch is 58 acres located just shy of one mile off of Highway 285 off of Pleasant Park Road. An amazing location - a hidden gem. As you walk from the parking area along the path, the property opens up into a beautiful aspen forest with wooden benches and a large meadow. Half way down the meadow on the left (west) side is a small riparian area with Alder trees - the beginning of several spring fed creeks. The hillside on the east side of the property offers rock outcroppings, large rock benches and 360 views. Our dogs thoroughly enjoy their time here and we hope your dog does, too! Depending on the time of year, the spring fed area can be muddy, an old towel is recommended for the drive home. This property is perfect for dog walks, picnics and celebrations. Please feel free to text with any questions. Thank you!

6 Acres of Off-Leash Freedom Where Your Dog Can Be A Dog

Partially Fenced
5 acres

Let your dog run, sniff, explore, and just be a dog. Our private 6-acre property offers wide-open fields, fresh country air, and plenty of room for zoomies, fetch, training, or peaceful walks away from crowded parks. Perfect for reactive dogs, high-energy breeds, recall training, or anyone looking for a safe space to enjoy time outdoors with their pup. The property is fully private during your visit, giving you and your dog the freedom to relax and explore at your own pace. ✔ 6 acres of open space ✔ Great for running, sniffing, and training ✔ Peaceful rural setting ✔ Private bookings only ✔ Plenty of room for multiple dogs Please note: The property is partially fenced. There is a fence line around much of the property that provides a clear boundary to follow, but there are areas with gates and openings, so this is not a fully enclosed space. We also have chickens, ducks, and sheep housed in secure pens on the property. Most dogs do great with this setup, but if your dog has a very high prey drive, is known to jump fences, or may attempt to access livestock, please use caution and assess whether this environment is a good fit. Come enjoy a little slice of Colorado where tails can wag freely.

Frank's Place - 5 Acres of Play Space

Fully Fenced
5 acres

Welcome to our private, fully fenced 5-acre Sniffspot on Frank Road, designed for safe off-leash play and relaxed exploring. This is a quiet, secure space where dogs can run freely, sniff to their hearts’ content, and enjoy real outdoor enrichment without the stress of public dog parks. Many guests find it ideal for reactive dogs, shy dogs, high-energy dogs, or dogs that simply love having room to roam. The property includes a mix of open running areas and natural tree-lined spaces, giving dogs variety while owners enjoy mountain views, peaceful surroundings, and benches for resting. The entire area is fully fenced so you can relax while your dog explores. You’ll find poop bags and a trash bucket provided, and there is plenty of space to wander at your own pace. My own dogs are small dachshunds, so I pay attention to secure fencing and safe access for small dogs as well as large dogs. If this is your first visit, take a moment to browse the photos to see the layout and features, and read the reviews to hear what other visitors and their dogs enjoy most. When you're ready, choose a time and book a visit — we’d love to host you.

Hummingbird Trails - 15 Acres of private trails in Conifer, CO

Unfenced
15 acres

Visit our enchanted forest in the mountains! Update June 2026 - We are winding down our Sniffspot as we are transitioning to a wildlife refuge and hummingbird sanctuary as our hummingbirds have returned for the season! Thank you to all for visiting us and reach out if you’d like more information about visiting the hummingbird sanctuary. ** ** ** If there is snow, you’ll need a 4x4 vehicle for the roads and driveway. The stream is running off and on so be sure to bring some dog towels for wet paws. Our trails - We have 15 acres of trails (2 miles of different trail loops) running through the property, including a narrow seasonal stream that runs in the spring. We use the trails for dog walking, hiking, and mountain biking. May-September we have tons of hummingbirds zipping through the property. The trails are considered intermediate: easy in parts, and intermediate in parts, with uneven Colorado rocky terrain. The trails wind up and down the side of a mountain and empty into the forest and the meadows. There are inclines and declines. This property is not for everyone - it’s very natural. The trails are in great condition and it beautiful, but there is a wild element to it similar to any park in the area. WINTER: We try to keep the trails available in the winter for snowy hikes - you'll need a 4x4 vehicle for roads and driveway. The sun can warm the snowy trails up quickly so we suggest bringing a towel for snowy days. The meadow has a couple of icy spots where the snow doesn’t melt as quickly, but you can easily walk around these areas on the trail. Free amenities available for guest use: - WiFi - Walking/hiking poles - Air horn for guest safety - Dog waste bags and trash can - Fenced in area near parking spot - Picnic table and benches in doggy play areas. - Rock outcroppings great for climbing and photo opportunities - Seasonal stream at the bottom of the mountain trails, with natural springs flowing out of the mountain all year round. Message any time with questions!

55Beautiful spot in the middle of the woods but only 20 minutes from my home in the Meadows in Castle Rock. Sadie loved it and we loved the amenities, including the walking sticks (take one, you’ll need it!) and swings. Completely shaded and cool on a summer morning. Highly recommend! Take a picture of the directions — if you have Verizon there is limited reception.

55Loved this spot so much! My dog could not get enough of zooming around in/out of the creek and all the sniffing he got to do (of course was very muddy by the end). The short, but somewhat steep hike down and then back up was also the perfect amount so that he was fully worn out between the zoomies and the hike back up! The gate is well marked and trail easy to follow. There is water and poop bags/buckets, and there are bench swings to sit it while your dog is running around. There’s also toys and walking sticks out, although we did not use them. It was shaded which helped in the hot weather and is a spot we will definitely be returning to!

55We try and come once a week as this is our pups favorite spot. I don’t often leave a review but felt compelled to do so. We were getting ready to leave and my daughter fell/got pulled down the steep garage stairs as we were getting in the car. After getting her all situated I reached out to cancel our appt. Because of the time frame I reached out to the host and they graciously allowed us to come the next day which they did not have to do. So I very much appreciated that!

55Amazing spot! You walk from the road down a hill to the creek. The creek is just a trickle right now but it was still enough for our dog to play in! They provide everything: water (for humans and dogs), toys, TP, and first aid. Our dog doesn’t wander far and she stays close by, but despite being unfenced the area is basically in a ravine, so it’s easy to keep your dog(s) in sight. We had no critiques, the only thing I thought could be cute is a guestbook so we can see the humans and dogs who have visited :)

Frequently asked questions about Sedalia dog hiking trails

What do private dog hiking trails in Sedalia offer that public parks don't?

Private dog hiking trails in Sedalia offer complete privacy (no other dogs), specialized environments for natural exploration and varied terrain, professionally maintained cleanliness, flexible 24/7 scheduling, and safe spaces for all temperaments—puppies, seniors, small dogs, reactive dogs, or any pup needing accommodations. Public dog parks in Sedalia can't guarantee any of this. With 21 options, you get predictable, controlled environments perfect for your dog's specific needs.

Can I find fully fenced private dog parks in Sedalia?

Yes! Most of Sedalia's 21 private dog parks are fully fenced. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures with detailed specs: height (4ft, 6ft, 8ft+), material (wood, chain-link, vinyl), and gap information. This is crucial for escape artists, puppies learning boundaries, reactive dogs needing contained space, or small dogs who might squeeze through. Sedalia listings include fencing photos so you can verify security.

When can puppies start visiting dog hiking trails in Sedalia?

Puppies can visit Sedalia dog hiking trails as early as 8-10 weeks with initial vaccinations, much earlier than the 16+ weeks needed for public park safety. This early, controlled socialization prevents fear and reactivity issues later. Plus, puppies can explore natural exploration and varied terrain without being overwhelmed or learning bad behaviors from poorly socialized adult dogs. Many Sedalia trainers specifically use dog hiking trails for puppy development.

How do I find private dog hiking trails near me in Sedalia?

Browse Sedalia's 21 dog hiking trails on Sniffspot by entering your neighborhood or zip code. Filter by distance, then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, terrain type, or size. Each Sedalia listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Local favorite Frank's Place - 5 Acres of Play Space is particularly popular among Sedalia dog owners.

Can I rent dog hiking trails in Sedalia by the hour?

Yes! All 21 dog hiking trails in Sedalia are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer for training or events. Book instantly through Sniffspot, arrive during your time slot, and have complete privacy. Many Sedalia dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise.

What's the difference between Sniffspot dog hiking trails and public dog parks in Sedalia?

The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Sedalia mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. That means you can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 21 Sedalia dog hiking trails give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, your pup enjoys natural exploration and varied terrain and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.

Are there indoor dog hiking trails in Sedalia?

Yes! Sedalia has climate-controlled indoor dog hiking trails perfect for extreme weather, rainy days, or year-round exercise. Indoor Sedalia locations typically feature protective flooring, controlled temperatures, and enclosed environments. They're especially popular for puppy training, senior dogs, reactive dogs, or anyone wanting consistent access regardless of Sedalia weather. Filter by "indoor" to see options.

How do Sedalia dog hiking trails help with dog training?

Sedalia trainers love dog hiking trails because privacy eliminates distractions. Work on recall, practice trail recall in natural environments, leash manners on varied terrain, or hiking endurance building, reinforce obedience, socialize puppies, or address reactivity without interruptions. For reactive dogs, train without trigger-stacking. For puppies, practice skills in controlled increments. For any dog, get focused training time in an environment specifically designed for natural exploration and varied terrain.
