We offer seating on our deck under the shade of two umbrellas as well as Adirondack chairs in the shade of one of our giant trees. 🌳🌳🌳 We also have a playset with swings for your kids to enjoy. There will be poop bags, dog toys 🎾 and water available as well as a waste bin next to the gate for your trash. 🚙 Parking: Please park on the street near the tree in in our front yard, or up the road by the mailboxes. 🚪Entrance: You may enter the backyard through the gate on the right side when facing the house. You may need to lift the handle slightly and then push hard for gate to latch. The gate is a little janky! If you require any accommodations, please let us know ahead of your visit. To keep our yard safe and enjoyable for everyone, please follow these simple guidelines: • PLEASE pick up after your pup. Waste bags must be used and disposed of properly. I have had several instances where poop was not cleaned up after a booking, and I’ve had to go out and pick it all up in a hurry before the next booking. This would be so greatly appreciated! • No digging, please! We want to keep the yard in great shape for all visitors. • Supervise your dog at all times. This ensures safety for your pet and respect for the space. • We typically leave a fresh bowl of water out for our doggie guests. If you happen to see the water bowl is not filled up, it’s because we weren’t home during your booking time to fill fresh water. You have full permission to access the hose to fill the water bowl with fresh water. • Treat the space with care. This is our family’s yard, and we’re happy to share it with respectful guests! The backyard is .25 acres & has both grass along with an area with wood chips. There are some dog friendly wildflowers for a literal sniff spot for the dogs. Kiddie pool will be unavailable starting September 2nd. When you arrive, you can enter through the side gate to the left of the house behind the tree. Please make sure your dog is up to date on their vaccines (rabies, parvo, distemper, etc) to maintain a healthy & safe environment for all the dogs (including my own + our occasional foster dog). Country Run's Private Ranch is 58 acres located just shy of one mile off of Highway 285 off of Pleasant Park Road. An amazing location - a hidden gem. As you walk from the parking area along the path, the property opens up into a beautiful aspen forest with wooden benches and a large meadow. Half way down the meadow on the left (west) side is a small riparian area with Alder trees - the beginning of several spring fed creeks. The hillside on the east side of the property offers rock outcroppings, large rock benches and 360 views. Our dogs thoroughly enjoy their time here and we hope your dog does, too! Depending on the time of year, the spring fed area can be muddy, an old towel is recommended for the drive home. This property is perfect for dog walks, picnics and celebrations. We live out in East Parker, and it feels like out in the country. We have 2 dogs of our own. 1 is a black lab and 1 a mutt. Owning labs for over 20 years, is how we became passionate about opening our pool to other dogs who love to swim! We do keep our pups securely in the house or sometimes leave the house if requested. Beautiful area fully enclosed with 6' fence at the lowest. Separate entrance to this field from the street. Street parking on dead end road. Approx 400' x 200' field for running or throwing balls or frisbies. Picnic table shaded from afternoon sun. No lighting after dark. In winter when days are short pay attention to when the sunset time is. You'll have light for about another 30 minutes after sunset. If you want to run around in the dark that's fine too just bring your own flashlights and lighted dog collars Weekends tend to get fully booked. If you don't see any open slots Change your criteria to 30 minutes as there might be a 30 minute slot still available. If still no slots contact us as we might have an hour opening between guests. Sniffspot requires 30 minute padding so those gaps won't show up but we might be able to squeeze you in. There is a water hydrant near the chicken coop. Lift up on handle and wait three to four seconds for the water to begin flowing. Turn on splitter valve if no water comes out. There's a large green trash can next to the shed for poo and some bags available if you didn't bring your own. In Summer early mornings are usually cool. After noon the picnic table will be in the shade and an hour or two before sunset a good portion of the field is in the shade. But midday can be hot with no shade. I recommend checking the weather forecast before visiting or only booking 30 minutes when hot.

Update June 2026 - We are winding down our Sniffspot as we are transitioning to a wildlife refuge and hummingbird sanctuary as our hummingbirds have returned for the season! Thank you to all for visiting us and reach out if you’d like more information about visiting the hummingbird sanctuary. ** ** ** If there is snow, you’ll need a 4x4 vehicle for the roads and driveway. The stream is running off and on so be sure to bring some dog towels for wet paws. Our trails - We have 15 acres of trails (2 miles of different trail loops) running through the property, including a narrow seasonal stream that runs in the spring. We use the trails for dog walking, hiking, and mountain biking. May-September we have tons of hummingbirds zipping through the property. The trails are considered intermediate: easy in parts, and intermediate in parts, with uneven Colorado rocky terrain. The trails wind up and down the side of a mountain and empty into the forest and the meadows. There are inclines and declines. This property is not for everyone - it’s very natural. The trails are in great condition and it beautiful, but there is a wild element to it similar to any park in the area. WINTER: We try to keep the trails available in the winter for snowy hikes - you'll need a 4x4 vehicle for roads and driveway. The sun can warm the snowy trails up quickly so we suggest bringing a towel for snowy days. The meadow has a couple of icy spots where the snow doesn’t melt as quickly, but you can easily walk around these areas on the trail.
