Bell's Dog Run In Kawkawlin

Fully Fenced
0.11 acres

With just over 5,500 sq feet of fenced in area your dog will have plenty of room to run! We have many dog toys, a kiddie pool, agility equipment, sand/dirt area (for those who like to dig) and more! We are constantly adding new things and updating the area. We have chairs for you to sit back in and watch your dog! Please do not leave your dog unattended, let your dog jump on the fence or dig along the fence (digging is only permitted in the sand area) and please clean up after your pet. We hope you enjoy our little pet area 😊 The kiddie pool is out weather permitting. We try to empty it daily but often we don't get to if we have dog's boarding and multiple bookings because it leaves a muddy mess...we have found the dogs don't care if the water is fresh or not and parents would rather have dirty water versus a muddy yard ;) We do keep fresh drinking water out around the yard. We often have a seasonal photo shoot area set up. When we do, please do not let your dog(s) mess with the display. We want all guest to be able to enjoy this spot. You may take all the photos you want we just ask you to watch your dog so they are not destroying it and to share the photos with our page :) We do run a small boarding business on our property. If we have dogs at the time of your visit you will not see them. If they hear you and your dog they may bark so you may hear them but they will never be out of the building while you are here. If this is a concern you may reach out to me via messenger to see if we have any clients during the time you want to book. We have many days/times when we do not have anyone here. If you pup has a birthday/gotcha day we would be happy to set up a few decorations and leave a special treat for them. Just let us know ahead of time (at least 48 hours if possible) so we can have time to get everything ready for their special day!

Melissa & Wes's Fully Fenced Yard For Dogs To Rent In Holly

Fully Fenced
0.25 acres

This is a private residence with a very large backyard fenced in. We are set back from the road so once you are in our back yard it feels like you are 2 hours + north. In the summer we are often traveling with our children and dogs. We are blessed to have such a large piece of property in this area. Some amenities are available and we just added a small doggy pool for your pup to cool off (may not be large enough for big dogs). Our home is generally locked up but you are welcome to explore the yard and we have some heavily wooded trails and the very back of the property where often deer are seen that you may explore. Garden hose, electrical outlets and water dishes available on the backside of the house. We have 3 separate entry/exits along the gate. You are welcome to use any of them, just please close the gate upon leaving. Parking is open to the driveway or the yard. Be aware of a small shallow pond in the front yard. We do not use pesticides or fertilizers on the grass at all but we may use some in the flower beds only. Please clean up any dog messes and a trash can is provided. Feel free to enjoy the views, fire pit, and back deck. Thank you.

The Orchard 🍎

Fully Fenced
2 acres

We’re excited to share our private 2-acre organic apple orchard with you and your dog! It is completely enclosed with a 10-foot tall fence. It’s great for dogs who love to run as well as those who need a quiet place to explore. Because our farm sits a bit off the main road, it is usually a peaceful and relaxing environment. There is occasional mud especially right after a rain. There are bee boxes located outside of the back/northern fence line (your dog will not be able to access them). Due to the nature of our orchard and the outdoor environment, I cannot guarantee the absence of wildlife, wildlife scat, insects, mud, fallen fruit, weather-related conditions, or other natural elements. By booking a visit, guests acknowledge these conditions may be present. Please keep this in mind when scheduling your visit and thank you for understanding!!

Frequently asked questions about Shields small dog parks

Why are private small dog parks better than public dog parks in Shields?

Private small dog parks in Shields eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Shields's 109 private small dog parks offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Shields small dog parks compared to public dog parks?

Shields small dog parks are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Shields small dog parks eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Shields small dog parks safe for reactive dogs?

Shields owners of reactive dogs choose small dog parks because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy appropriately-sized exercise while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Shields reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Shields small dog parks?

Yes! Shields small dog parks provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a space specifically sized and designed for small breeds under 25-30 pounds at their own pace without stress. Many Shields small dog parks offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are Shields small dog parks good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Shields small dog parks because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Shields avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—small dog parks eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do Shields small dog parks work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Shields small dog parks because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Shields small dog parks with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do Shields dog owners say about small dog parks?

Reviews of Shields small dog parks consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs. Local favorite The Wag Zone 0.5 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Grand Blanc Township is particularly praised in Shields. Read reviews to see real experiences from Shields dog owners with similar needs.

How clean and maintained are Shields small dog parks?

Shields hosts maintain their own small dog parks and take pride in providing excellent experiences. All guests must have vaccinated dogs (or titers). Many Shields hosts provide poop bags, trash cans, and regular cleaning. Reviews highlight maintenance quality—browse Shields small dog park listings to see real feedback about cleanliness and upkeep.
