Winding Brook Farm: 15 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Southampton

Hi! I’m Joanne, and this is my dog Nifty’s favorite place in the world—so I thought I’d share it with other wonderful dogs and their people. We have 15 private acres with woods, open fields, and river access, and it’s been such a gift for my dog to have a safe space to run freely. I know not every dog thrives at dog parks, so I wanted to create a peaceful alternative. This space is especially loved by dogs who need a little extra room or prefer a quieter environment. The property is fenced along the two “long sides” which encourages your dog to stay nearby but with lots of roaming space. The fence is NOT fully secure. Please see the section about fencing. Near the cabin, there’s a cozy seating area where you can relax under the trees while your dog enjoys the space. There is a Solo Bonfire fire pit that can be rented with the last block of the day. (Currently between 6:30-8 pm) We provide a manufactured log (think Duraflame-type) with a 2 hour burn time. This is an add-on at the site using a Venmo QR code. Returning renters can use code TRAINYERDOG for a discount too 😉 To access the agility field: Please follow the driveway straight back past the detached garage and park in the grass along the fence line of the field. *This spot is first and foremost an agility field! There is equipment setup as seen in the photos pretty much all the time. You do not need to be an agility whiz to rent- if you are looking for a quiet, safely enclosed space to let your dog have some off leash time, you are more than welcome here! But do note that it is not just a flat wide open space meant for free running. If your dog has never done agility, do not force them onto any obstacle. Reward them for investigating things, but if they seem wary of something best not let them have a bad time or potentially get hurt bailing off of a higher obstacle like the a-frame or dogwalk. Please do NOT change the height of any jumps unless you know how to do so CORRECTLY! Do not attempt to move or change the height of any tunnels, the teeter, weave poles, or contact obstacles. Leave things the way you found them, and if you’re interested in learning about agility see the last slide in the photos 😉 and please no humans (children included) on or inside of ANY of the obstacles! They are not meant to bear the weight of a human, and they are expensive to replace if damaged. AKC Regulation a-frame, teeter, dogwalk, and jumps from Max200. MAD Agility channel weaves. Saloon door style tire and tunnels from Clean Run. Keep your dogs leashed for safety when entering/exiting the agility field as the rest of the property is not fully fenced. Please stay out of the neighbor’s property and out of my fenced in back yard closest to the house. It is low tech back there. There is no electricity or running water. Gates are secured with bungees for now until permanent posts & latches are installed. Please bring water, bug spray, sunscreen, proper footwear, etc. I do my best to keep the field as manicured as possible, but it is the out of doors so nothing is ever perfect! The pine trees provide lovely shade, but they do also provide pinecones and twigs. Give the space a once over to ensure there is nothing pokey on you or your dog’s path! The 8.4 acres has several ATV trails that make hiking easy for you and your four legged friends. If you decide to go off trail it is wooded but not heavily. There is also a large open area of just grass that give several stream access points. There are several picnic tables and large roofed area with seating and power. There are also several spigots to fill up water bottles and water bowls. Some bowls are provided and cleaned after each use if you would like to use.

Agawam Dog Park

The Agawam Dog Park in Massachusetts is fully fenced and open from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. It has specific rules in place including leashing dogs when entering and leaving, keeping dogs within owner's view at all times, and cleaning up after them. Children under 8 are not allowed in the park area and young people under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Only 3 dogs per adult are allowed, and smoking, beverages, human food, and dog treats are prohibited. It’s a smaller area in the back of my home, fenced in, I have 3 larger dogs and they love to run back there. They are on the back porch which the door is locked, they may bark when your there. If your dog is triggered by barking let me know and I’ll move them to the main part of the house for your visit. I do plan on expanding for more room, there will be doggie bags present with a trash can for you to throw your dogs waste away. And I’ll leave out water bowls for them and bottled water. If you ask ahead of time I can put out some toys for your dog that you can take home with you!
