This is my first time having a home with my partner and we are waiting a few years to get a dog ourselves, we hope the dogs are friendly for pets if we are home during a visit! One neighbour total next door, has a dog we hear occasionally bark but never see. Roughly 4ft tall wire fence between properties and back field. No fence on front yard to road, and right side of house to road. Basketball post on one side of yard and multiple trees that can be used for tie out cables, a flag pole on the other front side yard can also be used for a tie out cable. If dog has good recall, we are fine with off leash as well (no dogs in neighbours yard or backyard farmers field). We have 3 indoor cats, they may be occasionally seen in the windows of our house.
