Come enjoy our active dog yard! Long enough to get in a good game of fetch or frisbee! We also have agility jumps and a secured straight tunnel to play with. The yard is relatively flat and grassed with a beautiful oak tree that provides plenty of shade in the summer. Fence is 6’ privacy fence and there is a double gate entrance for security. Our own pack of dogs will be inside during sniffspot reservations. You will probably hear occasional barking. Our dogs play flyball and dock diving and we are always happy to introduce newcomers to dog sports too!

Private 20-Acre Wildlife Preserve with Nature Trails and Water Access

Bring your fur babies to this beautiful private wildlife preserve in Gerrardstown. Our private property features nature trails that lead to a 7 acre pond and private access to Back Creek. Your pups can take a swim in the pond or splash around in the beautiful crystal clear creek on the backside of the property. There are otters in the pond so be watchful that your fur babies don’t have a negative interaction with the wildlife. We only host one booking at a time so the full 20.56 acres will be yours for the time you reserve. Additionally this property has three main areas. At the base of the driveway, you will find a forested area with clearing to sit in the shade and let your pups play with the available dog toys or explore. Make your way to the back of that first main area to begin your first nature trail which leads you straight to the beautiful 7 acre pond where more seating is available. From the pond there’s another winding trail that takes you through the backside of the forest and then opens up on Back Creek. Parking: You can park at the top of the driveway, on the side of the road, or you can bring your vehicle down the driveway. For small cars it is recommended To park at the top of the driveway due to unlevel terrain. Before you leave the property: please clean up all of your dog waste and dispose of in the waste bins along with any trash. And please place the dog toys back in the bin. Rascal's 1-Acre Resort in North Potomac, MD

Parking is in front of the property on the grass, in front of the mailbox. Walk back to the right side of property and wnter through the door. Once you enter the property, you can let your fur baby or babies off leash to explore. In the daytime, your fur baby has about 1 acre of land to explore. Scents of dogs, squirrels, bunnies and even a neighborhood fox are in the air. There are two white benches to sit on which can be moved. One side has large trees that provide a lot of shade on hot days. There is a covered pergola for you to stand or sit on the two rocking chairs, which is wonderful when it rains. There is also a covered back porch to stand in case of rain. There is a beautiful pond with koi and goldfish, the water is safe for dogs but we also leave clean bowls out that can be filled with 2 available garden hoses. There is a bucket of chuck-it balls on top of a bench near the Trashcan. For clean up there is a Trashcan and pooper scooper or you may use your own bags. In the night-time, we have torch lamps around the property as well lighted collars or lights to attach to a collar. This will make it easy to see your pup when he or she gets close to the fence. Larger friends love catching a frisbee, fetch, chasing the squirrels on the fence, running around the yard, or taking a dip in the outdoor pond. One of his friends just loves to gallop like a horse around the property or chase squirrels on the fence. The newest edition is the treadmill (small to medium dogs only) for use especially on rainy or snowy days. Treadmill for large dogs coming next year! Water bowl and water provided upon request. We are pretty flexible - let us know what we could do to make your next visit more enjoyable for your pup.

I have a total of two acres available for SniffSpot. One is the main area that you immediately enter and is fully fenced. An additional area that is further back behind a cattle gate is available for use but unfenced at this time. We offer toys, water, water bowls, parkour equipment, lots of toys and a small pool for the summer. Long games of fetch or frisbee. Tug. If you dog loves to sniff there are lots of fox, deer and other creatures in the area to enliven your dogs nose! Easy parking available. We can even accommodate large groups or even your puppies birthday party!
