Bear Brook Canine Camp

Fully fenced in approximately two acres. We now have lighting for nighttime use. Approximately five times around the property perimeter equals a mile. We have chuck-it throws and balls, many toys, sand/digging areas, pools and agility equipment in a large, fenced area for you and your dog to romp around. Main entrance to the yard can be found by entering the second driveway and parking in the designated parking area in front of the solar barn. We do not plow that driveway in the winter as it’s just gravel. So, feel free to park at the bottom of my driveway and walk to the SS gate if you’re not comfortable using the SS driveway in the winter. We ask that you please adhere to our 24 hour notice when changing or canceling a reservation. We are always fully booked on weekends and most weekdays too. The front of the yard features a 6-foot privacy fence, while the rest is enclosed with a combination of 6-foot wood, chain link, and heavy-duty wire fencing. It’s fully secure and suitable for both large and small dogs. The fencing is basic 4 ft welded wire fencing and works well for most dogs, but please keep the following in mind: * Not recommended for skilled jumpers or climbers. * Very small dogs may be able to squeeze through gaps near the bottom of the fence or around the gate. * The entrance gate is secured with a green bungee cord. Please fasten it exactly as you found it (or as shown on the posted instructions) to ensure the gate remains securely closed. * We strongly recommend doing a quick perimeter check upon arrival to make sure the space is a good fit for your dog. Accessibility: The fenced yard can be reached by either: * Stone steps (please note there is currently no handrail), or * A gradual grassy slope alongside the road, which many guests find to be an easier alternative.
