This was a much needed stop to stretch our legs during a road trip! The host was very kind in helping us find the spot, she came out to the gate to make sure we got there. It was mostly fenced but probably not secure for a small dog. Just note that along one side the neighboring dogs barked a lot when they saw us- there was a second fence separating them so they were not particularly close but would still run along their fence line barking when we were on that side. You could also see horses and goats. Along the fence near the entrance side there were cows in that pasture- just some things to keep in mind if your dog is more sensitive to those things!

The property was very nice! Nice loop trail to loop around and the folks there were super nice when we met. The little pond was all dried up due to the extreme heat/ drought this summer. My dogs still had a lovely time! Fencing was good but my little dog could have gone through if given the chance. No problem! Kept him on a flexi lead anyway. Look forward to coming here again!!

Our dogs had the best time! The place is amazing. Perfect place for people/dogs that love to go hiking or are beginners. Totally recommend this spot. We certainly need to go back once there is more water in the river. Also, Misty is a great host!

Our labs loved this hike! They got to explore to their hearts content and were super happy (and tired) pups. Getting ready to schedule our next visit!

Misty was incredible. I can’t express how gorgeous her spot was. Misty made us feel very comfortable and even drove us to make sure my pups wouldn’t be too hot.

Wow, if you’re on the fence about whether to visit this Spot, book now. Misty is a wonderful host and her property is amazing. It is a slice of heaven where you least expect to find it! Our 2 pups had a fantastic time running the trails on her property and swimming in the river (and the pond too). We swam with them too - so refreshing on a blazing hot Texas day. The pups are completely worn out which is pretty hard to accomplish with 2 teenage German Shepherd brothers. I wish we lived closer so we could be regular visitors!

First time booking, and just WOW! What a beautiful piece of property - Misty was not only extremely accommodating and friendly but all her and her familes hard work shows. It was private, safe, clean and a great adventure for us and our pups! If your dog loves water there are multiple spots for them to sit, swim and relax... we will definitely return to explore more and recommend anyone to book!

Absolutely Beautiful! It was a perfect day. Misty is an angel and showed us around and made our day. My boyfriend and I and our two dogs had a nice little swim. The water was perfect. We will definitely be back. An hour wasn’t long enough!

Thanks Misty for sharing your paradise with us again. We followed the mowed paths with our shepherd through the woods, crossed the creek a few times and dipped our feet in the river. The rocky, forested terrain is like going back to cave dwelling times. Walk the paths in an hour or bring bathing attire and stay for a few. Your dogs will love this stress-melting beauty but you will enjoy it just as much..

Fantastic place. Worth the drive! The trails, the trees, the exploration…a dream location for my dogs. It was so much fun for my dogs and me. I could not have asked for more. Misty and her husband were beyond accommodating and extremely nice. If you’re looking for an adventure for your dogs, this is it. I hesitate to say good stuff about the spot because I selfishly want it all for me and my dogs. 🙂

First, Misty was so gracious. She greeted us and walked us to the trailhead while explaining her property. From there we followed our first doggo tour guide through the trails and river. Her property is absolutely beautiful and serene from end to end. While I did get a little turned around, a second tour guide appeared (her Dane) and showed us the way back 😊. I think this was a dream come true for both of my pups and just a wonderful getaway for me as well. There were plenty of areas we hadn't made it to but definitely plan to return. Completely worth the drive if you're on the fence. Thank you, Misty, for sharing your beautiful property and for supplying two lovely tour guides which made it even more fun!

Me and my dog had such a great time here. Fun and relaxing for us both. Misty has a beautiful property and is a great host. My dog loved being able to swim and we had a nice time on the trails as well. Also beautiful blue bonnets this time of year! We will definitely be back and so appreciative of Misty for sharing this land with us! :) thank you!

I think this was my dogs’ favorite day ever. We all had so much fun hiking and exploring, and I think in our two hours we only saw a tiny bit of all there is to explore at this spot! Misty is such a great host and communicates so well from the moment you book! It was well worth the hour drive to get there and we can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful property with creek, waterfalls, stone cliffs, and overhangs. Dogs for our dog to play with. Amazing hosts that are just happy to share their piece of nature. More scenic than Mother Neff and Cameron Park. Great place to have a well trained dog off leash. Plenty of splashing fun

My dogs loved this beautiful space and it was perfect for my 11 year old Great Dane with some mobility issues. Misty ensured she kept her dogs inside since one of mine can be dog reactive and she was so kind and passionate about her land and dogs. My dogs aren’t swimmers but they were happy to find some shallow spots in the pond they could walk in. We barely even explored the land and mostly stuck to the areas around the pond but looking forward to coming back and venturing out more with my younger dog.

How do I know if a small dog park works for my dog?
Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing and distractions, to find a dog park that works for your furry friends. We also recommend reading reviews to check for park maintenance issues and reaching out to the host with any questions. And lastly, of course, check park hours. Many of our parks are open from dawn until dusk.
