The pictures posted of Matt’s private dog park well represent the large fenced in area. There was plenty of room for our dog to run and explore. As promised, Matt provided a bowl of fresh water and towels for drying wet doggie feet. Our dog enjoyed his playtime.

It was very beautiful and our dogs had so much fun! My pups love water, and the creek was perfect for playing in! There were other dogs on the property while we were there, they were friendly with ours

The property is gorgeous and the host is so nice! He was very helpful with explaining the places on the property to explore and very easy to talk to. Lots of space for your dog to run around and my dog particularly loved the large creek running through the property. Will definitely visit again.

This was amazing! Took my dog to see how comfortable he is with water because he’s only ever been in a kiddie pool and he loved it! Homeowners are soo sweet!

First time at Samantha’s but definitely not the last. The space is great. Very quiet street, awesome fully fenced space. She left treats, toys, water bowl, poop bags, hand sanitizer and even a towel as the grass was dewy. Her attention to details is awesome! She was very accomodating as she has an indoor cat that likes to sit at the door. My dog does not do well with cats at all and she had the cat out of site. We did not hear anything the whole time we were there.

We had the best time! It was so quiet, spacious, private, and clean. The host left treats, water, and a ball thrower out for us. It was very easy to access and find. We will definitely be back!

My dogs and I, along with a friend and his dog, had a wonderful time! My older and smaller dog is a whippet-mix and having a securely-fenced and small-dog-safe area for him to run around in and sniff in was absolutely wonderful! My Collie and my friend’s Collie truly enjoyed themselves, as well! There’s a great covered patio with a table and chairs for the humans with outdoor strands of lights you can use after dark, it’s just a beautiful, well-kept and maintained yard with a gorgeous 6’ privacy fence and very securely-latching gate (hint: just lift the gate itself a little and then the latch will snap into place!). There are tall, pretty trees and landscaping, but everything is super dog-friendly!
One caution is something that isn’t the host’s fault at all, because I’ve dealt with the same issue, but there are numerous rather deep and hidden holes in the yard, the kind that I’ve always known voles to make and that can suddenly appear overnight. So, I’d just walk the yard with your dog if your dog isn’t “vole-hole-savvy” to make sure! I just set a large rock into each hole so the Collies wouldn’t step in one while racing around!
We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous yard with us! We came to celebrate my Collie’s — who is also my guide dog — third birthday! He had a fantastic time!

We had a great experience. This was our first time taking our dog to someone’s home and he had an awesome time . It was completely fenced in… it was very clean…. And there were chairs to sit down while our dog played ball… we will definitely be back on a regular basis.

Our doggie loved every minute here!! Her nose was too the ground 99% of the time with all the sniffs and the other 1% was enjoying swimming in the pond. We will definitely be back!!

We had a blast at this Sniffspot and we will definitely be back. Loved the open area for the dogs to run, the pond for them to swim in with the creek and the trails. Definitely a great spot if your dog can handle being off leash or on a long line.

Awesome space for my newly adopted dog. He is a runner so I had him on a 20 ft leash. But he could roam free still with no other chance encounters with dogs. I also wanted to see how he would do in the water. He loved the creek and the pond. Highly recommend this place

This was our first Sniff Spot. Really loved it. Our hound is reactive so it was nice to be able to walk knowing we didn’t need to worry about encountering others. Our dogs loved the creek!

All was as described! My dogs had a great time. There was a cute station with poop bags and toys. The property ran kinda nearby the interstate, and I wish I had known if there was a fence between the property and interstate to ensure safety when letting my dogs off leash. But that may have been more my anxiety than an actual safety concern!
What other types of private dog parks are available?
Dog water parks
Many hosts have added water features like pools and/or are nearby lakes or rivers.
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?

All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 0% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Xenia area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
