RIVER LOVERS’ SPOT IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE…. We are overrun with Canada Geese. The nesting pair were welcome but the number that have moved in since are overwhelming. Their waste has made the site unpleasant. There are 50-80 in residence currently. The adolescents are 75%. Attempts to thwart them have not been as successful as summers past. I will change the calendar (and pics) as the move on. Summer is short!! UPDATE: We are awaiting approval by Dept. Environmental Conservation for ground changes. I’M ANXIOUS AND WILL POST WORD SOON…please be patient 🙁. Follow up 8/10/2022 With summer slipping away and things not changing on our waterfront, I’ve decided to open the calendar and see what happens. Things don’t always go as planned. The water is low. The shore is rocky (but not far in). The natural shore is pretty mucky. And there’s an old dock that needs to be pulled. Mostly cosmetic and negotiable with the keepers of the wetlands. DOGS DON’T CARE. Take a peek and see if it would suit your pup. We’ll be here next year but once it freezes it’s a “no dog” zone. 🐾 Dogs, bring your people and swim, run, or just watch the ships on the St. Lawrence. No fence but there’s more riverfront than road front. Our spot is small, quiet and your only distractions will be shore birds, waterfowl and fish. The shore is low rocks so good footing preferred. The water is shallow. The vistas are perfect. All dogs should have a river spot to share.

****IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD*** We are offering the back 9 acres of our property in rural Ontario, off the scenic Thousand Islands Parkway as a private escape for your special dog. There is a large area (1+ acre) of cut grass and some trails through the woods to explore and smell. It is exclusive, and only the people and dogs in your booking are allowed in the park during your visit. Ideal for sensitive or reactive dogs. *Some areas of the woods have "valuable items" left behind by the previous owner. We are in the process of cleaning it up but quite a bit is still remaining. If you see anything you want, let me know, no reasonable offer refused.

Large fully fenced in yard with two large lawns and a forest for your dog to walk through. There is a pond on the property without a fence on the other side so it can be closed off if you do not want your dog swimming in it. It is mostly covered in tiny lilly pads all summer. I own a very passive, but young dog that can come out and play if your dog wants a one on one friend. I'd like them to meet with me around first before booking a play time. Fencing is chainlink and farm fencing down the sides. Smaller dogs may be able to escape through the farm fencing. Seating on front porch and rear deck. Rear deck has an umbrella for shade. There is a bunch of parking in the driveway.

Daily 6 A.M. until 9 P.M. we offer a partially fenced, groomed 1 acre + 2 field play areas, where your dogs can run free. We have chairs in the fields for you to relax. We have a Chuckit available to throw balls for your dogs. There is a pond in the first field but I don't recommend it for swimming except in May. Fresh well water in a bucket, for dogs, and bowls, are provided in the first field. From there we have a mile long gravel walking trail along fields and forest. It's very straight, and if you stay on the trail, you can't get lost. It is very quiet and peaceful. Part way back there is a small run-off creek and metal culvert that is suitable for dog swimming in the spring and early summer. This is marked so is avoidable if you put your dogs back on a lead as you pass. You can often see deer, wild turkeys and lots of birds, sometimes bald eagles. A walk to the end and back is 2 miles and takes 40 minutes at a moderate pace. Just past the culvert, we offer a nice trail around a wheat field, going East initially. This trail is very pretty and easy to follow. It's about half a mile and takes 10 or 15 minutes to walk. There are a couple of wet/muddy spots so be mindful. Be dressed for gravel on the trail, uneven footing on the wheat field trail, and potential water and mud puddles on the property in wet seasons and after rain. The main trail runs North/South so if you want a sunny walk, go at midday. A shady walk, go after 3 p.m. Cooler times are before 11 a.m. We plan to add a trail through the woods in the fall once the insects and ticks die off. We have three areas for you to enjoy, all are fully fenced and are included in the rental price. We have a fully fenced acre of woods with a trail that goes through to explore. It is accessed through the gate in the backyard. We also have a front yard and deep backyard, great for running, fetch and recall training. The yard is 1.5 acres and also fully fenced. During the summer you have access to two seating areas including a picnic table, gazebo for shade (seasonally) a 30 foot tether is also available if you would like to have your dog stay beside you while you relax. During the winter, paths are plowed in both yards and in the woods within 3-5 hours of a significant snowfall. Hard packed snow and mild weather can create icy sections on the property, we put down sand and pet safe ice melt on the trails to help. Feel free to contact us for trail conditions before booking. Some fencing, good pup recall important. Loads of smells and lots of room to roam. We respect the natural tranquility, cleanliness and hope all visitors will as well.

We have a pretty decent sized backyard. It is nothing too big but it is the perfect backyard that your furry friends can come play and run around in. We don't spend a lot of time outside but I would like to give someone a space to play in 😊 feel free to message me with any questions.
