Country Serenity is a 1/2 acre fully fenced non-irrigated pasture which is on our 20 acre farm. The spot is partially covered with medium bark to keep down the weeds and native grass. FYI - the spring biting gnats have appeared. Recommend using bug repellent and wearing clothing and shoes to minimize exposure. Morning times are typically better- they like heat. Given our rural location, foxtails, stickers and other nuisance weeds do exist, especially along the fence lines, as we do not use herbicides. Please come prepared for these conditions and gauge your risk tolerance for your pet. Risks may include foxtails, stickers, ticks, mosquitos, gnats, flies, uneven ground, mud. Hours of operation are generally 7:30 am-7:30 pm, but no lighting is provided so hours fluctuate with the dawn and dusk. Adjacent to the dog park is a barn with 2 friendly dwarf goats and some chickens. Enjoy the views of our olive orchard, a seasonal pond and 360 degree panorama of beautiful farmland right from the park. Please be aware that this is a working farm in an agricultural area so you may see and hear farm equipment and crop dusters in the vicinity. I highly recommend it in the early mornings or late evenings with summer creeping up fast. It’s very quiet with hardly any traffic. Reservations fill up quickly but we also block out dates when we are having puppies over for sleepovers or our dogs haven’t had enough time in their yard. There's only one spot with irrigation so it gets dry, crackling, and some parts down to dirt in the summer. We do have an area that is grass for the dogs to roll around in. In the winter there can be a stream of water going through the middle of the pasture after rain. We have a Big water dish for dogs. Small pool for dogs to play in (we fill the pool every day, but can get the extra to have it freshly filled for your pup) Have toys and treats for the pups. Have friends with dogs?! Bring them all and come make a day of it! Feel free to bring a bbq, stereo, or games. Plenty of room for both the pups and the people to hang out and have a good time! We now have a porta potty for guests!! There are sheep in adjacent pasture certain times of the year but there is a 50+ foot buffer zone fenced off to keep sheep away from the fence.

Parking: There is plenty of roadside parking available during the day. For overnight parking, we recommend parking off the road, such as near the porta potty area or on the opposite side closer to the road. Restrictions: Catching or keeping wild animals, including fish from the creek, is prohibited. Public waterways are regulated by California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and dogs are not permitted to swim in the creek. Please refer to California Department of Fish and Wildlife for licensing requirements. Gate Access: In general, the gate will remain closed unless you have an AWD vehicle and provide the necessary information in advance. Please note that we are unable to provide emergency roadside assistance on site. To Do: At the top of the driveway, there is a turnaround area where dogs can run freely. At the end of the turnaround area, you’ll find a tree swing. Past the swing is a chicken coop and shaded area where pallets sit, and beyond the fence behind the chicken coop, there is a fire access road that may lead back down to the main road. On the opposite side of the road, there is a trail located behind the sand pile, with a small bridge crossing along the way. While river access may be possible, it is not officially provided.
