We no longer have any pets-- no more dogs, horses, chickens, or other livestock. We are often visited by deer and groundhogs. Although we have 12 acres, the house and barn are in the middle of it, so you may see the house from many areas during your visit. Usually, we are working inside or we are away and we keep most of the curtains closed. We may use the driveway or receive a delivery. Future plans include clearing the West trails, planting more evergreens, and making an indoor play space in the barn. Our park will continue to improve -- it is a work in progress! Recently added a Ninja Fireside 360 heater on the patio to keep you warm on those cold days. Free to use. Please make sure to turn propane on/off. This fully fenced in yard is the ultimate oasis. Walk your dog on over and relax next to Ford Lake with optional usage of the fire pit, fridge, and tiki torches. We also have two playgrounds for younger children (or children at heart) to enjoy. There's also a scooper, dog poop station, and toys available for you to use. Wifi is available free for guests. Connection information will be sent during your booking. Need to charge your phone or use an outlet? Feel free to plug-in to our outdoor receptacles. Need to run your dog at night? Not a problem! We have exterior lights we can turn on both by the lake and near the house that will give you more than enough light to see. There's also solar lights placed throughout the yard. While we don't specifically have an outdoor restroom, if you need to use the restroom, message us and we can let you inside. Dogs must remain outside while you use the facilities. Stay for an hour or have an evening relaxing by the lake with your pup. Note that if your dog is more reactive around people, we recommend coming during the morning during the week. During the summer you may see neighbors out in their yards doing yard work. We have put the kiddie pool up for the season! While we do our best to keep the yard free of poop and check every other day, you may still find some from either guests or our two dogs. We have nearly an acre of yard and it does make it difficult for us to find them all every time. As far as updates from last summer, we have poured two concrete pads: one for a shed and another as a patio under the pergola. We have also had the black walnut tree by the garage cut back significantly to the property line. While this reduces shade on the garage area, it also should reduce the amount of black walnuts that fall.
