Welcome to the Wet Spot! Designed by dogs for dogs our 1.4 acre fully fenced play area features a 1/2 acre swim pond, dock, sand dig pit, rocky stream, grassy open areas, and a shaded pavilion. Feel free to bring your own SUP or kayak! The Wet Spot is a great place to work on paddle training. Our pond is regularly tested for Cyanobacteria (blue green algae).

Pondside Paws Park

Welcome to Pondside Paws Park, located in a quiet valley 15 minutes outside of downtown Asheville NC. Here you will find a peaceful, fully fenced in half acre lot with a pond for your pups to swim, romp, sniff, play and have a great time. For those more adventurous dogs, there's even a dock for jumping into the pond! There are opportunities for enjoying the pond regardless of your dog's age or exercise ability, as there is a shallow area with tall grass for wading and splashing, and a deeper area for swimming. The slope of the land is gentle for those older dogs as well- this spot is suitable for dogs of all ages and abilities. For the humans, we have several seating options including a picnic table and 4 chairs under a shade sail. Bug spray, sunscreen, fresh drinking water for the dogs and a tote full of toys is also provided in the weatherproof storage shed next to the seating area. Waste bags are available if needed, although we appreciate people bringing their own, and there is a waste container located at the entrance, next to the kiddie pool that is used to rinse off muddy paws. It's recommended that you bring a towel to dry them off before getting back into your car. We hope you enjoy the spot and leave it as you found it for others to enjoy as well.

This is a large private field that is tucked just a short distance from downtown Hendersonville one block from the Hendersonville Community Co-op and not far from Flat Rock! This spot Less than 10 minutes from Exit 53 on I-26! Making it the perfect place to stretch your legs before traveling on! It has everything you need: - Flat- though the ground is uneven - Drive in access so you can park inside the 12" gate into the fenced area with your pets! - A custom built gazebo for shelter from the sun and rain - No drive by traffic - No people walking by - Full view of your pet while they run and play! - Games for people and dogs are already onsite! - Please remember to bring water for you and your pets. Please No Digging! Fence is a visible barrier and made of a wire and plastic mesh. My property is located on a long, gravel driveway (named by me as Maple Gap Rd) off Frozen Creek Road and just a short distance from the back entrance of Gorges State Park. Once turning onto Frozen Creek Road it’s about 1.3 miles on your right. You’ll see a small green sign saying Maple Gap Road and a Sniffspot sign. Parking is available beside the garage (looks like a house). Ok to park behind my silver truck that stays there. You’ll see a Sniffspot ‘park here’ sign, a dog waste station with bags, and a brown bench with tennis balls, water bowls, and bug spray in a storage bin under the seat. Access to the two small fields and stream is across the gravel driveway. My two homes on the property are vacation rentals by owner. If you see guests they may/may not have dogs. McT Family Farm

17 acre working farm with 50 livestock in fenced pastures. Entire farm is fenced in, including five livestock pastures and two corrals. Two turn-of-the-century barns great for photo backgrounds. Dogs can get near the fencing but not into the pastures with livestock. Mini highland cow, Irish dexter cow, alpacas, sheep, donkeys, ponies, goats - all in pastures and safely fenced off.

Our dog Oliver shares his toys and we keep a doggy waste station available for easy cleanup. We live in the house on the property with our 2 dogs but want to share our spacious yard with others. The doggy pool is out in warm weather and is filled with filtered water. Please do not come early as our dogs are in the yard between bookings, and please leave on time. We do a lot between visits to get the yard ready for the next guest, and also our dogs enjoy checking pee mails. Leaving 2-3 minutes late, or later, puts us behind schedule and we are typically booked back to back all day.
