55WOW, what a wonderful, huge area for my pup to run and explore!
It was our first time here, booked 1.5 hours, wish I would have booked 2.
My pup ran and had a few happy zoomies, we had the best time!
Loved the trail through the trees, and the view!
The communication from the host ( Kimberly) was awesome, she recommended where to walk.
Thanks for the great time we had!!Carla G.

55Second time visiting and had a blast. The turn in can be easy to miss but otherwise once you’re there, it’s a dog paradise. Especially beautiful right now with the autumn weather, crunchy leaves and pumpkin patch view. 🎃🖤Daniel D.

55Excellent spot to walk. There is one section that goes up the field by the road where my terriers thought about going through the bushes after something but they were happy to continue on their walk with me.
We loved the toys and treats and we will definitely be back! Adele M.

55Kimberly is an amazing host! Quick and great communication from the moment I messaged her with a few questions being new to Sniffspot. She has a beautiful property which allowed us, my toddler and German Shepherd, to feel safe knowing we weren’t going to cross any other dogs. I highly recommend this spot! 55Beautiful day to walk this property! I really appreciated the mowed paths to make my way around on. Scenery is beautiful and peaceful with rolling fields of pumpkins and Mount Baker in the background. In addition to this being a fabulous property, I come here because the host is professional and responsible. I have a reactive dog and having a close encounter with an on- or off-leash dog would be very stressful for both my pup and I. I feel safe spending time on this property and I am so grateful to Kimberly and her family for opening their beautiful farm to Sniffspot users.Laura G.

55This is an amazing spot! Very quiet and tranquility right in town. It’s close to the highway exist. Easy to find even though Google Map sent us to the townhouse community right next to it. The entrance and parking area are very clear and well maintained. The owner is responsive and very kind. Her responses were prompt, detailed and friendly. It was so kind of her to leave towels to dry off our wet and dirty pups after the walk!
The property is vast and peaceful. There’s a huge flat field behind (or next to?) the house for the dogs to run around and play. It’s HUGE! After that, we took the trail to walk around the property. Most of it is flat and very easy walk. The rest is gentle rolling hills, nothing strenuous at all. The only thing we had to watch out for was the occasional overhanging blackberry branches. I’d suggest hardy, protective shoes like hiking shoes/boots if you plan to hike deep into the property. It was raining quite hard when we were there. Even with all the rain there wasn’t any puddles on the trail. It’s pumpkin season so most of the land is pumpkin farm. Our Golden Retriever is very adventurous and food-crazed but there’s so much to explore he completely ignored the pumpkins far away. The last part of the trail is not cleared so we had to turn around and walked back the same way. It took us 1 hour and 45 minutes to very casually walk 3/4 of the perimeter and back.
This spot is absolutely perfect for spirited dogs and humans looking for a nice peaceful walk in a beautiful country setting. You can also just stay near the big field to let your dogs play and run around. No special footwear needed if you and your dogs hang around that area.
The property isn’t fully fenced but it’s so vast and well defined by shrubs and bushes that most dogs will likely stay within the perimeter. There are only one or two small openings near the trail that you have to pay attention so your dogs don’t run out, e.g. a gate with a big gap. Our dog is very adventurous but even he didn’t bother to cross the threshold. If your dogs have the tendency to run away forever without turning back, however, you might have to consider putting a long leash on. The place is so big you could spend all afternoon looking for them!
We didn’t hear any city noise, dogs, or people while we were there, only some roosters in the neighbouring farm (I think.)
I’d like to suggest whoever visit this beautiful spot to pick up after your dogs if they happen to do their business on the trail. This place is so big you can’t expect the owner to check the trail all the time for dog poops. It’s just not possible.
We live an hour away but we enjoyed our time here so much we’d love to come back if we get the chance! Thank you, Kimberly and your family, for sharing your amazing property with us. It is a small piece of paradise for reactive dogs and their owners who have to face fear and judgements whenever they walk out the door. You don’t know how much it means to them. ❤️

Frequently asked questions about Chilliwack dog hiking trails
Why are private dog hiking trails better than public dog parks in Chilliwack?
Private dog hiking trails in Chilliwack eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Chilliwack's 12 private dog hiking trails offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.
How safe are Chilliwack dog hiking trails compared to public dog parks?
Chilliwack dog hiking trails are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Chilliwack dog hiking trails eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.
Are Chilliwack dog hiking trails safe for reactive dogs?
Chilliwack owners of reactive dogs choose dog hiking trails because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy natural exploration and varied terrain while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Chilliwack reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.
Can anxious dogs safely use Chilliwack dog hiking trails?
Yes! Chilliwack dog hiking trails provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment at their own pace without stress. Many Chilliwack dog hiking trails offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.
Are Chilliwack dog hiking trails good for small dogs?
Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Chilliwack dog hiking trails because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Chilliwack avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog hiking trails eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.
Do Chilliwack dog hiking trails work for senior dogs?
Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Chilliwack dog hiking trails because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Chilliwack dog hiking trails with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.
What do Chilliwack dog owners say about dog hiking trails?
Reviews of Chilliwack dog hiking trails consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs. Local favorite Peaceful mini-retreat with field & woods is particularly praised in Chilliwack. Read reviews to see real experiences from Chilliwack dog owners with similar needs.
