22+ acre property with 20 acres that is fully/securely fenced. The front half is an open field & orchard, the back is forested and has maintained trails throughout. There's covered seating in the field & woods, portapotty, drinking water station, toys etc - see amenities for more details. There are seasonal streams, ponds in the woods this time of year, plus extra puddles & mud during/after moderate-heavy rain. Foot bridges and woodchips keep the main trails in decent shape for walking but there are plenty of muddy areas to explore so expect a wet, dirty dog - waterproof traction boots (muckboots etc) recommended. There's a dog rinse station (elevated, tethers, sidewalls) for faster cleaning that's easy on the back and keeps clothing drier; bring your own towels. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. There is very little time that the crop area is restricted. When the pumpkins are grown, it is fun to walk up the rows and we welcome the pups to be in there, take photos etc. If you visit during planting, we ask the dogs stay out of that area as that can damage the crop. I often don’t know until last minute when the forest manager I’m working with for the DNR forest cleanup project is on-site, the logging will take place hopefully this winter. — This 21-acre forest with a large beaver pond is classified as a class-A wetland. In addition to this, you can find a shallow creek, beaver dams, old-growth forest, and phenomenal bird habitat. Find privacy and quiet with the exception of the songs of many birds and woodpeckers. This property was once a show home, but a fire took place over 10 years ago and the house was not rebuilt. While the ruins that remain are minimal, it sets an interesting backdrop; perhaps it can be the scene for a mysterious photoshoot. Within the property is a small orchard, we do ask to try to not let the pups do their business there. Spring 2022 Update: One picnic table have been added to the property.

We loved this spot!! The space is huge and is basically fully fenced except for the entrance. We could hear people playing paintball behind the property, but couldn’t see anyone. We could also hear dogs barking and some various livestock occasionally but couldn’t see anything the entire time and the space is so big that it wasn’t a distraction. We will definitely be back!

We played in the snow in a large open field, dogs had lots of fun, it was secure even though it’s not fenced. We didn’t see or hear other dogs at all but there were a couple humans working close to the parking area and a cow in a fenced pen, not an issue for us and they’re not visible from the off leash area. There’s no signs marking it as a sniffspot but address is visible from the street and entrance to off leash area has cones.

This is added to our favorite Sniffspot list. Usually I have to drive an hour to get to our favorite acreages. This is just 30 mins from where I live. Beautiful scenery. There are chair for us to sit to watch them run and enjoy open space. The bonus is Campbell River is running through this property. Right now after snow melts, the current is too strong for our little dogs. So ideal to leash them while dipping their toes in the water. Can’t wait for summer time for them to enjoy this river. Another thing I really like about is drinking water is available for dogs in a barrel as well as the garbage can for us to dispose poo bags. This is massive acreage, this is very normal to see dead animals. I strongly encourage anybody to always watch your dogs, supervise and let them stay in your Proximity for safety.

We had such a good time. My young Doberman needs to run but is not a good candidate for public dog parks, and she doesn’t get the exercise she requires on on-leash walks. This is the perfect solution for us. I am very pleased with our visit. No dog poop anywhere and a sweet little calf patrolling the parking lot.! Wonderful.

It's an absolutely beautiful spot and well marked. The pasture area is huge and feels totally secure, really it's just the path coming in that isn't enclosed. So much space for dogs to run around and so many things to sniff. Shayne is very responsive and super kind. As other people have said wear boots if it's been raining, there's mud but also lots of dry areas. We will definitely be back.

Loved it!!!!! My dog had such a great time exploring and running around. We caught a beautiful sunny day and I was able to even lay down in the grass for a bit (got a damp bum for it, but it was worth it). Definitely will go back! Everything was well laid out and though there were some sheep and an adorable calf, they were in paddocks and away from where we were so my dog just checked them out from a distance.
