Stefanie's Private Dog Park In San Marcos

Partially Fenced
20 acres

"This field is huge! My dogs had an amazing time running around and exploring 😍 There is shade under the trees, and the part that wasn't fenced in wasn't an issue for us. If your dogs don't have solid recall, stick to the fenced side. The whole place is so big, you shouldn't have a problem getting a good amount of walking/running in, without coming too close to the un-fenced side. I walked around for about 2 miles, and I'm guessing my dogs probably did twice that 😆 The host was nice and allowed extra time, because I took a wrong turn coming there and was late to my booked time. We will definitely be back."

Each Chula Vista dog hiking trail listing shows detailed photos, amenities, fencing specs, and reviews from local dog owners.

Are Chula Vista dog hiking trails good for all dog types?

Yes! Will I encounter other dogs at Chula Vista dog hiking trails?

Not a chance. Chula Vista dog hiking trails operate on a strict one-booking-at-a-time system, so the space is entirely yours during your reserved slot. Host dogs are kept away, and there's a mandatory 30-minute buffer between bookings—meaning you won't cross paths with the previous or next guest. For Chula Vista owners with reactive dogs, puppies, or any dog needing privacy, this makes all the difference in providing safe, stress-free exercise.

Are Chula Vista dog hiking trails safe for fearful or anxious dogs?

Since bookings are completely private with 30-minute buffers, anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment without overwhelming encounters. Many Chula Vista dog owners specifically choose dog hiking trails for fearful dogs who need gentle, stress-free exercise environments.

Just ensure your puppy has age-appropriate vaccinations before visiting.

How do I choose the best dog hiking trail in Chula Vista?

Start by filtering Chula Vista's 8 dog hiking trails for your specific needs: secure fencing for escape artists, "fewer dogs seen/heard" for reactive dogs, flat terrain for seniors, appropriate sizing for small dogs, or specific amenities for training. Look for "Top Spots" like Chula Vista's Creekside dog park / Taylor pond with excellent reviews.Read feedback from other Chula Vista owners with similar dog types to find your perfect match.

What are Chula Vista's dog hiking trail requirements?

All dogs must have basic vaccinations or titers. Each Chula Vista host may have additional rules on their listing. Most dog hiking trails welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit public dog parks. Adult supervision is required at all times.
