****IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD so it is around 15 canadian*** This is a mostly open area farm field. Space includes a small wooded area within the fenced area. Bathroom available on site in the smaller barn. SMOKE FREE ZONE. Pick up after dogs, garbage bin provided. There are a few seniors visiting with mobility issues which is taken into consideration when there is poop left behind. You can always message me and let me know a general area and I can try to run out and pick it up between the next visit. There are some small gaps in the fence, so this is a great spot for large and medium sized dogs. Not a spot recommended for small dogs or severely reactive. Please keep dogs leashed until it is your time slot and are in the designated area and keep in mind you may pass another dog owner with their dog on a leash leaving or entering the spot. IF YOU CAN NOT CONTROL YOUR DOG ON A LEASH WHEN PASSING ANOTHER DOG PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS SPOT. Lots of seniors visit this spot and they may need some extra time to walk to their cars. For the most part spacing between guests has been good. Please read the essential rules the website has suggested in order to keep this a fun and safe place for dogs. Guests can be blocked from booking again if they do not respect the space or who are rude to me. Please check the spot descriptions for all details regarding animals on the property. SPRING AND SUMMER ANNOUNCEMENTS *We will be adding a doggy splash pad and a kiddie pool with fresh water as an add on option. *shade umbrellas are out of storage and I just have to wash them... so they are coming very soon. *I am in the works of creating a full enclosed cat park. So if you are also a cat person or know a cat person please share my other link to book through the Swimply App. Similar to sniff spot but the insurance coverage is slightly different for cats ahah. You can also book that spot for puppy training, as it will be a more controlled smaller space 18 ft long. This will have a little drawing table/play kitchen/play house for kids set up in the corner, and chairs. For people who don't have cats you can still book the space and visit my two friendly orange cats. The orange cats on the property are very people/kid friendly. The black/white cats are loving only to immediate family members. Thank you to all our visitors. It's been wonderful seeing so many happy dogs.

Peaceful mini-retreat with field & woods

22+ acre property with 20 acres that is fully/securely fenced. The front half is field, the back is forested and has maintained trails throughout. Covered seating (in the field & woods), portapotty, yard hose on site, see 'amentities' for a full list of features. There are seasonal streams and ponds in the woods with foot bridges and woodchips that keep mud to a minimum on many of the trails. Plenty of high/dry areas in the field and woods but also low spots - expect puddles, mud holes, areas of standing water (and a wet/dirty dog), especially during/after rain. Appropriate outerwear, traction footwear (hiking/muck boots etc), towels recommended. Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. I offer dog walks, small-group boarding, and pet sitting services. When I’m not boarding any pups, I’d love to open my yard and patio space for other pups to enjoy. I live in a quiet neighbourhood, however there is some construction going on in the lot behind my home! There is a large bedrock that runs along one side of the backyard, which makes for some great exploring. There is a blackberry grove next to my yard which is frequented by various wildlife, so there is always lots to smell back there. Please note there is a significant set of stairs you need to go down to reach the lawn area from the patio. The yard is surrounded by 6ft fences, and there is one section that is steep rock - this could potentially be climbed by a VERY determined pup so please keep that in mind. I’m happy to do what I can to make your time here as safe & fun as possible, so please feel free to reach out with your queries & I’ll try my best to accommodate!

I am converting it into a place for very small dogs to have a safe space to be off leash in a grassy spot with a cover so they are safe from pray birds. It will also be a space where people with adventure cats are free to book, so there will some cat climbing trees. For a cat, please message for details, you will have to book through the Swimply App, as sniff spot is only designed for dog visitors. My vision for this encloser is to have hay grass, a couple of young cedar trees that can be transplanted later when they are getting too big for the enclosure. Some logs/ stumps... trying to recreate a mini forest inside the space. With shade and chairs for humans to sit and relax. I will be adding some agility equipment for small dogs or cats to practice jumping through hoops and doing adorable stuff.

Wow! This property was incredible. Driving past, Thomas said “i wish we could go to that field for Bo” not realizing it was where we were going. Having a reactive dog can be stressful, and decompression walks are so important for a dogs mental health. This spot was so perfect for our dog. We had such a fun and peaceful time running around the trails with Bo. He had an absolute blast and was so tired by the end of it. I wish we could come here every day :) Barb was so friendly and provided drinks, poop bags and lots of spots to sit. It was magical! we will definitely be back!

My dogs had a fantastic time on this property. Since it was our first time our host Barb came out and greeted us to ensure I knew where everything was answer any questions I might have. She went the extra mile for us to enjoy ourselves. One of my dogs is a larger reactive dog and Barb knew how to handle herself when greeting him which put him and me at ease. The property is a fantastic mix of a wide open field which is great for chasing frisbees, balls, etc and a forest. The forested part is well marked and a blast for pups to run around. By the time we were done my dogs were smiling from ear to ear. We will definitely be back soon!

We had a great time at Barb's place! The big open field was perfect for our friend's Husky that wanted to run. He had fun exploring every inch of the property and we were so thankful knowing we were in a fully fenced location. Our 6-month old puppy had fun as well and we were able to do a little recall training with him, also care-free knowing he couldn't get away from us. The property was neat and tidy with all the amenities we needed. My 8-year old LOVED how the trails were clearly marked as well as the Orange Soda that Barb provided in the refreshments bin. Such a very nice spot and a lovely host. We will be back for sure!

Our rescue dog does not do well with other pups, so this wide open space was perfect for our good boy. He had lots of room and lots of fun running through the forest trails and the field. 10/10 will be back again. And the owner is very sweet and helpful when first arriving.

We had a wonderful time at Barb’s sniffspot! Barb greeted us when we arrived and provided orientation to the space - she was very friendly and welcoming. The space was huge, securely fenced in. Fresh water for pups and humans and lots of balls to play fetch. Our dogs loved racing through the forest together. It was great to see our pups so happy and joyful to have so much space to play and explore together while in a safe environment. The field and forest are pretty grassy so definitely recommend wearing closed shoes and not sandals like we did, and probably pants not shorts too.

We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules, such as staying within the designated off-leash areas. Each park location also has their own set of rules that guests need to follow, such as limiting excessive barking.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot fully fenced dog park at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
