Storybrook Farm 114 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park In Damascus

Unfenced
114 acres

We’re excited to share our farm with you and your pups! Our 114-acre property is something really special—rolling fields, shaded wooded trails, and ponds where dogs can swim and play freely. It’s peaceful, private, and incredibly beautiful in every season. We’ve tried to think of all the little details to make your visit easy and enjoyable, including trail maps with distances, fresh drinking water for both you and your dog, towels for muddy paws or wet fur, and easy parking on asphalt. We’re dog lovers ourselves and have two rescue pups who will be safely secured inside our home during your reserved time so you can enjoy uninterrupted access to the property. Whether you’re here for a long walk or just to let your dog run wild, we hope it feels like your own private retreat.

* **** PLEASE READ FULL SPOT DESCRIPTION PRIOR! Notices for new visitors: Please be mindful as walking through to our back trails. A pathway will be made as hay grows taller. - this is a working farm with animals that need tending to. You will see us out depending on the time feeding/ watering animals. Especially in extreme weather. - we are a pig rescue farm, you will see them out and about. We have 2 overly social pigs who may come say hi to you. Then go about their way. Everyone else likes to hide. We have a beautiful 80 acre farm with loads of space for furry friends and their owners to enjoy! Trails, a pond, creek, seating areas for relaxing , swings if children come along. There is truly something for everyone! *please fill in any holes your dog may dig. If your dog is a digger please visit our over grown arena which is at the very top of our driveway and has a bridge . They can dig to their hearts content in that location! We have options of fenced in spaces for our friends that prefer to be closed in, a space for climbing and digging , and open spaces to run or trails to walk! Currently back trails are not officially marked but path is clear with tire tracks. Please be mindful of trees or branches from above and below. Possible risk of tripping and falling in the paths. We can’t wait for you all to visit! And please do not hesitate to contact with any questions or if any assistance is needed!

100 Acre Unfenced Private Fields, Trails, Ponds & Streams

Unfenced
100 acres

A true off-leash adventure for dogs who love freedom and nature! Enjoy 100 acres of unfenced fields, rolling hills, and wooded trails—perfect for dogs who love to explore. You can hike on designated trails, on mowed fields or use the ponds for water training for hours with your pup(s). Our farm has: ✔️ Abundant wildlife! ✔️ Wide-open, completely unfenced land ✔️ Natural terrain with fields, hills, and trails ✔️ Ponds, streams and endless sniffing opportunities Parking & Arrival: Please park to the right of the big red barn, by the dumpster and begin walking from there. The farm sits on a very sharp curve, so use caution when entering and exiting the property. Dogs must be on leash when exiting your car and near the road. Once you are safely away from the road and barn, dogs may be off leash for the remainder of your visit. If your dog has never been off leash, we recommend you have an airtag or a GPS collar on them. Please do not let your dog leave the designated walking areas on our farm. Occasionally, you may see an older grampa (my father) working in the fields.

55Awesome plot of land for pups to run free. A few different sections to sniff around for long periods of time. You can hear barking and see the dogs at the house. Biggest thing is the ground does get soft. I came early in the morning when it was frozen and got stuck when it thawed (that's on me and my sedan though.)

55We have visited the horse farm with our dogs and our friends dogs (up 4-5). The site has 4 fields to explore with trails. The main field is a large open space with a hill which is a great way to exercise out the "demons" with our rowdy bunch :) Enough removed from owned house, and other distractions etc. Not fenced so you need dogs that stay close or have good recall. Grassed area so not much issues with mud (which other sniff spots have been issue). About 30 minutes from DC. The turn into the horse pastures is more of a trail path and a little hard to find on first visit. It can accommodate a SUV, keep in mind not paved and low clearance for some vehicles. Highly recommend this little found gem.

55My dog had a great time running through the very large field and roaming the woods. We followed a few short trails into the woods, and he wandered a bit through the woods even when I didn’t see a clear trail. He enjoyed lots of good sniffing! I didn’t have any trouble finding the entrance after reading the other reviews. I also didn’t have any trouble navigating the road in a sedan.

55My dog had a blast here! We spent most of our time exploring the woods, and he loved all of the interesting smells. It was really peaceful. I was happy I wore waterproof boots as there was a little creek and some muddy spots. We did see and hear the 2 resident dogs when we first arrived and as we left since the invisible fence line runs up against the dirt road, but they stayed closer to the house. I also saw a fox run across the field as we were getting ready to leave, so just be aware of the potential to see wildlife (not surprising since it’s a rural property). We had a great visit, and I look forward to going back.

55Loved our visit to the farm. Wonderful open field area for the dogs to run and romp and a short trail through the woods with a bridge and logs to jump over for some proprioception-rich exercise.

55Great place if you need a lot of space or maybe just a little. Open space up and down the hill area the barn was just to enough for our first time visit. I recommend this sniff spot if you find yourself need a place to burn some energy. Be careful of the mud when it rains,

55It was a bit of a challenge to find the dirt road (go past the house, down the hill, then pay close attention to your righthand side. If you hit the next house, you've gone too far), but my monsters LOVED it. We'll definitely be back. I didn't see the hiking areas there appear to be photos for but the place has A LOT of foliage, so it could've just grown over a bit. There's way more than enough space without leaving the immediate area a bit further out from the tractor shed but I'm eager to explore more, once we can get out there a bit earlier and things cool down a bit. I have a very energetic girl (mostly Husky/German Shepherd mix) who learned an unfortunate amount of bad manners at a daycare, mostly around getting overwhelmed with too many dogs to say hi to all at once. She's in training to unlearn as much of it as we can but I can't take her to dog parks. This place is big enough that I'm eager to bring along a friend's dog or two as we reteach her how to listen to pup friends' cues. We're in DC but this is absolutely worth the schlep out.

55My babies LOVED the area. It is pretty, spacious, and full of places to explore. It isn't riddled with poop which is awesome. The only recommendation I have is for the owners to mark the entrance to the gravel road. To those who will make use of this property at a later date: -The house is on the right hand (passenger) side. You will continue on that road (down a small hill) for approx 10-15 seconds before the entrance to the gravel/dirt road appears on your right hand side. Drive down that gravel/dirt road and the tractor shed will be on your left. Other than the unmarked entrance, I have no other recommendations. The place is peaceful, beautiful, and will serve its intended purpose. My babies were asleep well before we got home. They had a blast.

55This spot was very quiet and peaceful. I wasn't sure where the owner's property ends so I was a little worried I would go too far. We did see the horse (behind a two-board horse fence, and a deep chasm from an old stream) my dog was a little too interested in the horse, so I had to leash up. There was also a very calm doberman in the horse paddock. Didn't see any other wildlife or domesticated animals. Easy to find and park.

Frequently asked questions about Davidsonville dog hiking trails

Why are private dog hiking trails better than public dog parks in Davidsonville?

Private dog hiking trails in Davidsonville eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Davidsonville's 14 private dog hiking trails offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Davidsonville dog hiking trails compared to public dog parks?

Davidsonville dog hiking trails are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Davidsonville dog hiking trails eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Davidsonville dog hiking trails safe for reactive dogs?

Davidsonville owners of reactive dogs choose dog hiking trails because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy natural exploration and varied terrain while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Davidsonville reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Davidsonville dog hiking trails?

Yes! Davidsonville dog hiking trails provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment at their own pace without stress. Many Davidsonville dog hiking trails offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are Davidsonville dog hiking trails good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Davidsonville dog hiking trails because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Davidsonville avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog hiking trails eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do Davidsonville dog hiking trails work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Davidsonville dog hiking trails because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Davidsonville dog hiking trails with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do Davidsonville dog owners say about dog hiking trails?

Reviews of Davidsonville dog hiking trails consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs. Local favorite Creekside trails in Manassas (out and back trail) is particularly praised in Davidsonville. Read reviews to see real experiences from Davidsonville dog owners with similar needs.
