To help us keep the ground safe and beautiful for all our guests, we also ask that you prevent your dog from digging, as this can create tripping hazards. We know some pups just love to dig! If your dog does make a hole, we kindly ask that you use the provided shovel to fill it in and return the area to its original condition before you leave. Rainy Day Amenities: On rainy days, our rinsing station is available to help clean up muddy paws before heading home. We also ask that you please leave any dirty tennis balls in the blue tub with soapy water, located on the other side of the fence, to keep them fresh for the next guest. Two beautiful horses have moved in next door! While they are not always visible, you might hear a friendly “hee” every now and then. To ensure a harmonious environment for everyone, we kindly request that you maintain a distance of at least 5 feet from our neighbor’s fence at the top of the property. The backyard is very large and is terraced, so it’s great for exercising dogs or sniffing around (lots of great smells). There are also many fruit trees you are welcome to (orange, grapefruit, lime, lemon, and fig). We also have a pergola with 4 chairs and a fire pit. Lots of shade is provided by our pecan and jacaranda trees most of the year. The backyard ground is a mixture of brick pavers, gravel, and mulch. We have several hoses throughout the yard that you’re welcome to use as much as you want. There is an empty koi pond that can be used as a splash pool for dogs too with our hoses. We also have outdoor electrical outlets and strong WiFi if needed. It’s a hillside home so there are great views of Mt. Helix and even the ocean on clear days. The Rancho Bernardo Dog Park in San Diego, California is a fully-fenced enclosure for off-leash play. Owners must leash and clean up after their dogs, monitor their behavior, and have current licenses. Only three dogs per family are allowed. Aggressive dogs and those in heat are not permitted, and puppies under 4 months old are not recommended. Owners must have a leash on hand, and children must be supervised. No food, smoking, or specific items are allowed in the park. Small dogs are welcome, and amenities include chairs, tables, and an indoor restroom.
