Rural Meadows & Forested Dog Park 5 miles outside of Rogue River

Unfenced
5 acres

We own 40 beautiful acres that back up to BLM government forest land up the mountain. You can enjoy a smaller lower meadow that has meadow grass with a picnic table, and an in ground burn pit with seating or choose a slightly larger more rustic meadow that offers a nice open space that's another great spot for dogs to be free and enjoy being dogs! Either meadow is great for playing fetch, where you can throw frisbees, balls, or other toys. It's a great training ground, bring your training items or it's a nice place to just hang out together, like day camping. Make a day out of it and use an available propane BBQ to cook up some hot dogs or burgers (bring your own food) while you enjoy hanging with your fur babies. If you feel like hiking up rough mountain terrain, you can, if that's your thing. We have several picnic tables, and BBQ's, as well as hoses for water (April through September), and a year round porta potty. We also have a large dog cage option if needed, (let us know). We look forward to hosting you at your Dog fun space in the country! All Water Service is only available April through September annually, so please know that other months the water spickets are Winterized, due to freezing pipe protection. You can bring your own dog water dish and if there is no freezing, you can use one of 3 water spickets to fill. Please be sure to turn it off if no water comes out - so our well doesn't run dry when it thaws. Thank you! Winter months it's best to just bring your own water and dish.

*** Happy 2025!! *** This year marks the 3rd year I have been open, and it has been such an amazing experience. I have loved seeing every one of the dogs and meeting all of you owners! I was able to add a few improvements this year which I hoped helped in the areas it was needed. I still have a long list to fulfill and as always, I am open to suggestions, what is needed, what is not needed! Again, I am always open to and appreciate feedback. Thank you ALL for making such a great thing even better by your participation and enjoying the space that we feel blessed to be able to offer. * Just a reminder that it is always flea and tick season. We do not treat the pastures with any spray so be mindful about using whatever treatment your vet recommends. *I am repairing part of the pasture that is on my side of the property, this is going to cause me to need the far far back pasture for the use of my horses more often. If you see them in the far back field, just consider that area closed. I do try and move them over off of it for most of the week. 11/1/2025 Updates. Hot/Cold wash on hold. We are going into the WET season, I will try and have towels out but always suggest bringing some. Consider weather appropriate attire. The barn offers coverage, but it can still be windy and cold in there as well. We added more granite to safely pull all the way in and park. ** PLEASE DO NOT TURN AROUND IN THE YARD OR THE PASTURE ** it will start to get too wet to pull all the way in off the granite areas and vehicles will get stuck. And this tears up the pasture, yard area. I am trying to come up with shaded areas in the far far back pasture. That may take more planning and time. But it is on the list. We also dug the small pond a little deeper and boy howdy is the water flowing right now!

55This spot was awesome! Super quiet and relaxing. The host was quick to answer any questions we had. There are multiple toys that my dog loved playing with and a doggy pool for him to splash in! The signs showing where the spot is was super helpful as well.

55We had such a fun first visit! This spot offers a lot for the pups. Plenty of trees to sniff, spacious enough to play frisbee and plenty of shade to keep cool!! A freshly filled kiddy pool and plenty of toys to pick from, plus poo bags available in case you forget your own. :) The area is peaceful and quiet, a big plus for my more sensitive senior dog. Fencing was secure for both my dogs as well. 10/10 from us! I had two tired, happy pups by the end of our hour. Thank you for such a lovely, safe space! We’ll be back!

Frequently asked questions about Grants Pass dog parks

What amenities do private dog parks in Grants Pass offer that public parks don't?

Grants Pass private dog parks offer amenities you'll never find at public facilities: swimming pools for water-loving dogs, agility equipment for training, climate-controlled indoor spaces for year-round use, hiking trails on private property, and secure fencing customized for different dog sizes. Hosts provide poop bags, water stations, toys, and even dog wash stations. Orange Dog Acres is especially known for exceptional amenities. Every Grants Pass listing shows exactly what's included—no surprises.

Are there fully fenced private dog parks in Grants Pass?

Yes! Most of Grants Pass's 72 Sniffspot locations are fully fenced. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures with detailed fencing specs: height (4ft, 6ft, 8ft+), material (wood, chain-link, vinyl), and gap information. This is crucial for escape artists, puppies learning boundaries, or reactive dogs who need contained space. Grants Pass listings show fencing photos so you can verify security before booking.

How clean are private dog parks in Grants Pass compared to public ones?

Significantly cleaner. Public dog parks in Grants Pass are maintained by overworked city staff and often littered with waste from dozens of dogs daily. Sniffspot hosts in Grants Pass maintain their own spaces and take pride in cleanliness since it directly affects their reviews and bookings. Many Grants Pass hosts provide fresh poop bags, empty trash regularly, and sanitize water stations. Plus, with only one booking at a time, waste accumulation is minimal. Check reviews to see cleanliness ratings.

What types of dog parks can I find in Grants Pass?

Grants Pass has 72 diverse options: fully fenced dog parks for specific training activities, small dog parks for different environments, and dog fields for varied experiences. Want a backyard for simple off-leash time? We've got it. Need acres of trails for hiking? Check. Looking for water access or agility obstacles? Available. Browse by park type to see what matches your dog's interests, then filter by location within Grants Pass to find convenient options.

Can I book Grants Pass dog parks on short notice?

Usually yes! Many Grants Pass Sniffspot locations offer same-day or next-day availability, and most bookings can be made instantly without waiting for host approval. Unlike public dog parks that might be crowded during peak times, Grants Pass private parks let you reserve exactly when you need them—early morning before work, midday breaks, or evening exercise. Check individual listings for real-time availability and booking policies.

Do Grants Pass dog parks have water access?

Many do! Filter Grants Pass's 72 locations by amenities to find dog parks with swimming pools, natural ponds, creeks, or beach access. Water features are perfect for Grants Pass's hot summer days or for dogs who love to swim. Each listing specifies water type and depth, plus whether it's safe for swimming or just wading. Some Grants Pass hosts provide life vests or shallow kiddie pools for water-nervous dogs.

Are there indoor dog parks in Grants Pass?

Yes! Grants Pass has climate-controlled indoor options perfect for extreme weather, rainy days, or year-round exercise. Indoor Grants Pass locations typically feature rubberized flooring (easier on joints), artificial turf, or padded surfaces. They're especially popular for puppy training, senior dogs needing gentle surfaces, or reactive dogs benefiting from enclosed environments. Filter by "indoor" to see Grants Pass's covered and climate-controlled options.

What's the best time to visit dog parks in Grants Pass?

With Sniffspot, any time works since bookings are private! Unlike public dog parks that are crowded during peak hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends), you don't have to worry about timing in Grants Pass. Book whenever fits your schedule—midday when public parks are empty, dawn for cool weather, or late evening for convenience. Many Grants Pass locations have lighting for after-dark visits. The flexibility is one of the biggest advantages over public parks.
