The only company you may have are the horses in the adjacent pasture! ***I’ve recently opened up after dark hours, but that is only for people interested in stargazing. Best Friend's Dog Park in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, is a fully-fenced enclosure where dog owners must follow strict rules and etiquette. No weapons are allowed, owners must clean up after their pets, keep dogs on leashes outside the off-leash area, and have current rabies vaccinations. Only 2 dogs per handler are allowed, with no puppies under 6 months or females in heat permitted. Aggressive dogs are not allowed, and grooming is only allowed in designated areas. The park is open from dawn to dusk, with amenities for small dogs and rules strictly enforced by park staff.

Quiet, private fenced yard available for dogs to play. 4 ft picket fence, scent work wall plus elevated magnetic equipment for scent work practice (bring your own hides preferred but I can put CPE strength hides out if you give me some notice!), pet genie poop disposal and pooper scooper, kiddie pool, dig pit, and agility equipment (by request only!). Please try to keep any digging to the dig pit area only! And I know the dig pit is close to the garden beds, but please try to keep dogs out of those :) There is a poly wire electric fence around the perimeter but it will not be on for your visit. Chairs and a table with umbrella are available. My dogs tend to drink out of the kiddie pool but a rubber feed tub is available as an alternative. There is a hose or a handwashing setting on the nozzle to fill it with. Park in the driveway or on the street. Please be sure to close the gate when you leave!

We have an amazing flat backyard that is fully fenced in! We live in the country so it’s a really nice scenic route to get here full of farms and cows. There is even a vineyard nearby. We just bought this property, so how it is now is just before photo! We plan to make wonderful things out of this yard! My husbands favorite activity is to cut and maintain grass! We also have our front yard which is just as large but it’s not fenced in. It is yours to use as well it you want more walking space. There will be a kiddie pool for doggies and as many toys as we can have last in the yard for the doggies (but my pups love to destroy)! We are kinda out here so make sure to bring your favorite kind of food and drinks if you plan on visiting for the full 4 hours. The closest places are a couple of gas stations and a Dollar General. I do have snacks and bottled water! You can also buy pool time, sprinkler time, bath time (shampoo/nail clippers/ear cleaner) for additional charges. Just let me know before the visit! Also, bring any obstacle items or anything you want to place in the yard to practice with or use for your dog. Full Disclosure: We do get muddy after rain and are currently working on a solution for that!

However, there are 50 acres of totally private woods and trails, plus you can letj your dogs run loose. Close to downtown Chase City where there are gas stations and places to eat. Camping on the property is available.

I love dogs, and have experience with large breeds, plenty of patience. I may fence in the property at some point, but please make sure your dog at least listens to return commands to avoid them taking off. There are no dogs living close by, but there are the random hunting dogs that wander by.
