55Such a tranquil spot, more room than my dog knew what to do with. River is great, just make sure you bring bug spray. I was an all you can eat Mosquito buffet. Will definitely be back. Sean S.

55Great spot on the river. There were some rafters there when we first walked down, but they didn’t stay for long. Lots of sticks to throw for the dogs. Current wasn’t bad, which meant the water was pretty stagnant and baths were def needed when we got home cus they were stiiiinky.
The spot has bushes and trees down to the waterline on either side, so the dogs couldn’t wander too far without a lot of effort.
We’ll be back for sure. Cat L.

55This our new favorite Sniff Spot! The combination of flat grassy meadow and riverfront space allows for our dogs to run, swim, and play to their hearts content. We will definitely be back! P.S. both dogs fell asleep in the car on the drive home, and that rarely happens!Clark H.

55This is a great location with access to the Clackamas River. There is a lot of room to run & play. There are shady spots to hang out literally, there’s a hammock. Jennie D.

55My dogs and I enjoyed having our own private spot on the river. Across the way is where people get off their tubes, but around 5pm on a Sunday there weren’t very many groups. With my dogs going in and out of the water the ground did get muddy, so take what you need to prepare for that. There is also no shade. It’s a short walk between the car and river, so if you are there for a while I could see bringing something to create shade. The swimming was good as it’s not a fast moving area of the river. I’ll definitely go back. Alicia Y.

55This will be a monthly spot for me. I’m so happy to have found a spot with private access to water. It wasn’t fenced in but was private enough to not have to worry. We even found a ball out there! 10/10Faithfull P.

55This was our first sniffspot experience and it was FANTASTIC! We had everything we could possibly need. Tons of sunny space for our gentle giant, then a cool off in the river. My son had fun catching crawfish in the river. He asked if we could go back without the dog lol. Chatted up some friendly people kayaking along the river. There's a picnic table and hammock which I plan to use the next time we come. Thank you so much for sharing your space. Nikki V.

55This spot should be called a ‘RunSpot’ what a great space. There’s nothing better than watching dogs run around an open field. The sun came out just as we arrived so we split our time between the field and the water and everyone enjoyed a few blackberries. The owner was very understanding when construction caused a delay.
Definitely would come here again. Kronda A.

FAQ about our Hood River dog water parks
Are dog water parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. If you are worried about whether you can have an enjoyable water experience, just know that it is possible to have peace of mind when visiting dog waterparks by following basic safety guidelines. How can I find the best dog water parks in Hood River?
How do I know if a dog water park works for my dog?
Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing and distractions, to find a dog park that works for your dog. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog water parks. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog water parks where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Make sure to review the amenities of the spot to see what kind of water features are offered to make sure it works for your dog. If your dog is not a strong swimmer, then perhaps choose a dog water park with tamer water features rather than a river or beach, for instance. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions, and of course, checking water park hours.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot water park?
We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Additionally, we recommend following our water safety guidelines.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot water park at the same time as me?
