Enjoy clean, fresh air while your dog romps, and explores . There are natural roots and rocks in the field, some brush and a large flat grassed area. It is a field so the ground is uneven. When you book a visit you will be the only person on the property, so there is no risk of distractions caused by other people or animals. If you have a new pup that is having recall problems, or you have a reactive dog, this is a perfect stress-free environment for them to enjoy. Potsdam Community Dog Park at 17 Madrid Ave in Potsdam, New York, is a fully fenced enclosure for dogs to play. Rules include supervision, no aggressive or sick dogs, and only two dogs per person. Children under 12 are not allowed, and all dogs must have ID tags and vaccinations. Bicycles, skateboards, and certain items are prohibited. The park is open from dawn until dusk, with small dog amenities available. Visitors must sign in and out, and donations are accepted. We have three areas for you to enjoy, all are fully fenced and are included in the rental price. We have a fully fenced acre of woods with a trail that goes through to explore. It is accessed through the gate in the backyard. We also have a front yard and deep backyard, great for running, fetch and recall training. The yard is 1.5 acres and also fully fenced. During the summer you have access to two seating areas including a picnic table, gazebo for shade (seasonally) a 30 foot tether is also available if you would like to have your dog stay beside you while you relax. During the winter, paths are plowed in both yards and in the woods within 3-5 hours of a significant snowfall. Hard packed snow and mild weather can create icy sections on the property, we put down sand and pet safe ice melt on the trails to help. Feel free to contact us for trail conditions before booking. All dog breeds welcome, reactive dogs welcome.
