Why?? first we love dogs but can no longer have one and we have a humongous problem with wild turkeys on our property. Other than shooting them the only other remedy is scaring them and a dog will do that. right now we have 32 grazing on our front lawn. No you cant shoot them its out of season and many of them have trackers on them. Obviously your dog would have to be obedient or it would be in the next township still chasing, so it has to return on call. To the "they were there first" crowd come on over and walk though wall to wall turkey poop and we can talk. When you book a visit you will be the only person on the property, so there is no risk of distractions caused by other people or animals. Please park in front of the big gates and enter the park through the green gate to the left. If you have a new pup that is having recall problems, or you have a reactive dog, this is a perfect stress-free environment for them to enjoy. They will be able to run and play without risk of getting too far, or seeing another dog. We also offer an assortment of agility equipment. Please set it up and return it near the trees at the end of your visit. We offer a discount to anyone with foster dogs, please reach out for details. Potsdam Community Dog Park at 17 Madrid Ave in Potsdam, New York, is a fully fenced enclosure for dogs to play. Rules include supervision, no aggressive or sick dogs, and only two dogs per person. Children under 12 are not allowed, and all dogs must have ID tags and vaccinations. Bicycles, skateboards, and certain items are prohibited.
