Enjoy Adirondack chairs facing the lake or bring a blanket and enjoy tranquil views of Lake Whitehurst and Norfolk Botanical Garden, while watching planes take off from Norfolk Airport. If your dogs are into water sports, you've found the right place: There is a sloping bulkhead that eases into the water, 2-3 feet deep at the edge. PLEASE NOTE: Humans are not allowed in the lake, per Norfolk regs. The picturesque Wiseacre Estate has been an Airbnb for 10+ years, and now is also a private, peaceful retreat for your beloved doggies. * Hose and water bowl on-premises. Please park to the side of the garage and make your way around the left of the house to back yard. Kindly bring poop bags and pick up after your dog(s) (trash cans on red patio). Thank you and ENJOY! We have a newly built swimming pool with a splash pad and a covered patio, which offers plenty of shade. Our covered patio has two ceiling fans, a gas fireplace, comfy patio furniture for five, an outlet for charging phones or laptops, WiFi available, and misting fan available upon request. We also have dog treats available on the patio. We recommend you bring towels to dry your dog ,bug spray and sunscreen during warmer months. We’d love to welcome you to our place. We used a non-toxic dye in ponds  in early March to give shade for the large Koi. It helps protect them from the blue herring until the summer grass comes in. It has almost completely faded, and it’s safe for fish plants, domestic and wildlife just a little heads up. our grandchildren swim in it. So feel safe.
