Mel's 15 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park In Laingsburg

Unfenced
15 acres

Lovely 150 year old decommissioned farm that has been rewilding for 40 years. It has been held as a private wildlife refuge and has been farm and garden chemical free for many years. Trails wind through meadows, woods, and across frozen marsh in the wintertime. Encounter deer, turkey, crane, friendly crows, songbirds, raptors, a wide variety of wildflowers and trees. Also the occasional bunny, fox, coyote, raccoon squirrels and chipmunks pass through. In sheltering spots like my wood chip pile, I have seen snakes and salamanders. In season there are berries and fruit from wild apple and pear trees scattered along the trails. Note that this is a natural area resulting from the rewilding process and not a groomed and open park-like setting. But the trails are wide and mowed regularly for ease of walking. In the woods be prepared to navigate the occasional sticks and branches that may be on the path as typical of a natural woodlot. Wear sturdy walking shoes. This is an exciting place for dogs to sniff around! Looking forward to your visit!

Yoko's 12 Acres Quiet Meadow & 1 Acre Hidden Pond behind the Red Barn

Partially Fenced
12 acres

This is not just a place for dogs to run. It’s a quiet piece of land by the pond — a space where dogs can explore freely, and humans can slow down for a moment. In early spring, the pond may still be lightly frozen. The air feels crisp, and everything is just beginning to wake up. By summer, it becomes a place full of movement — water, grass, and happy, muddy paws. We’ve kept the space simple on purpose: • A natural pond for curious swimmers • Open field for running freely • Trees that offer shade, calm, and a place to pause No crowds. No noise. Just your time. Whether your dog loves to chase, sniff, swim, or simply wander — this space lets them be exactly who they are. And maybe, you’ll feel it too.

Frequently asked questions about Oakley dog parks

Are private dog parks better than public dog parks in Oakley?

Yes, private dog parks in Oakley eliminate the major risks of public facilities: unpredictable dog encounters, inattentive owners, disease transmission, and chaotic environments. With Sniffspot's 401 private locations in Oakley, you get complete privacy during your booking, professionally maintained spaces, and flexible scheduling. No more worrying about aggressive dogs or unsafe conditions. Yoko's 12 Acres Quiet Meadow & 1 Acre Hidden Pond behind the Red Barn and other highly-rated Oakley locations consistently receive 5-star reviews for safety and cleanliness.

Are Sniffspot dog parks in Oakley safe for all dog types?

Absolutely! Oakley Sniffspot locations welcome puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel overwhelmed at public parks, high-energy dogs needing room to run, and reactive dogs requiring privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets exactly the environment they need with no compromises. Whether your dog is friendly, selective, anxious, or anywhere in between, Oakley has 401 options to match their temperament.

When can puppies start visiting dog parks in Oakley?

Puppies can visit Oakley Sniffspot locations as soon as they have age-appropriate vaccinations (typically around 8-10 weeks with their first round of shots). Unlike public dog parks where you'd wait until puppies are fully vaccinated at 16+ weeks, Sniffspot's private bookings eliminate disease risk from unknown dogs. This early, safe socialization in Oakley helps prevent fear and reactivity issues later. Many Oakley trainers specifically use Sniffspot for puppy development.

How do I find private dog parks near me in Oakley?

Browse Oakley's 401 private dog parks on Sniffspot by entering your zip code or neighborhood. Filter by distance (within 5, 10, or 25 miles), then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities like fully fenced dog parks or small dog parks. Each Oakley listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Yoko's 12 Acres Quiet Meadow & 1 Acre Hidden Pond behind the Red Barn is particularly popular among Oakley dog owners.

Are Oakley dog parks good for small dogs?

Yes! Many Oakley Sniffspot hosts specifically mark their spaces as "small dog friendly," meaning they're sized appropriately for toy breeds and small dogs. Unlike public dog parks where small dogs can be intimidated or injured by larger dogs, Oakley private bookings give your small dog the entire space. Filter for secure fencing with no gaps, smaller yard sizes, and hosts who cater to petite pups. Some Oakley dog park locations even have separate small dog areas.

What's the difference between Sniffspot and public dog parks in Oakley?

The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Oakley mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. You can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 401 Oakley locations give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, you get amenities like fully fenced dog parks, small dog parks, and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.

Do Oakley dog parks allow senior dogs?

Yes! Oakley Sniffspot locations are excellent for senior dogs who need gentle exercise without the stress of public dog parks. Older dogs can explore at their own pace, rest when needed, and avoid being knocked over by rambunctious dogs. Look for Oakley spots with flat terrain, shaded areas, easy access, and smaller sizes if your senior has limited mobility. The privacy means your older dog can enjoy off-leash time safely and comfortably.

Can I rent a private dog park in Oakley by the hour?

Yes! All 401 Sniffspot locations in Oakley are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer if needed. Book instantly through the platform, arrive during your time slot, and have the entire space to yourself. Many Oakley dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise for their dogs.
