I have a large space that I am sure a dog will love to run in. In the winter, post rain, it can get VERY muddy back there. Years of dogs running around has torn up a lot of the ground cover and it's now just dirt, which becomes mud in the winter. In the summer, the "grass" (more weeds than actual grass) gets very dry. There are some burrs due to the dryness so if your dog has longer fur they might get some attached to them. I do my best to weed the weeds that produce them, but there still might be some. It's a fairly large open space with a longer run on the side. Also, I want to note that in the back of the property the fence is lower, around 4/4.5 feet (the rest of the yard is at least 6 feet), so if your dog is a good jumper, this could be an issue. Picking fruit or vegetable etc. is off the limit. Drinking water for animals is provided in various containers throughout the property. Please do not turn on or use any water equipment on our property - we had some serious problems in the past because of this. Please clean up after your dog’s “business” - smile. That’s a serious and mandatory request. Poop bags are available in the plastic box with the other dog gear, but please bring your own backup supply just in case and do not leave the poop bags behind. BROWN garbage can is in the front of the house by the street for your convenience. Thank you! Woof woof! 🌸 Note: in the rainy season we might not change the water for dogs because it’s senseless. Also please only 2 human guests max with the dogs. Thank you!*** Great yard with 6ft fence all around it in West Oakland. Perfect for hanging out or training with your dog or letting him or her roam free for an hour (or more!) while you get things done. Completely secured with extra gate between font and backyard. All breeds and dogs of any size are welcome but please leave yard as you found it (broom and trash can provided!) The spot is walking distance to West Oakland Bart station (About 10-12 minute walk). We have neighbors on either side of our home but it’s a very quiet neighborhood overall. Please do note that occasionally you can hear a dog barking from houses in the neighborhood or voices of neighbors enjoying their yard. There are chairs and a coffee table on the patio for your use, if desired, while your dogs explores. A bowl with water and a hose is provided.

Welcome to our dog pool! Yup, that’s right, we designed this pool specifically for dogs!!!! We have 3 large benches that accommodate dogs of all sizes (some benches are more shallow/deeper than others), plus a step that goes all the way around the pool for dogs to walk on. In addition to that, we have a step in the deep end that makes it easy for the dogs to get in and out of the pool! We also have bubblers inside of the pool (the dogs go crazy over these) and then outside of the pool we have fountains that shoot into the pool! This is literally a dream pool for dogs and dog owners! The pool is surrounded by artificial turf and a gorgeous view! We can’t wait for you to check out our pool! Our Sniffspot is located on a quiet dead end in the back of Montara, CA. It is fully fenced. It contains 2 fields, a lower and upper, both suitable for use. I will have agility courses set up a portion of the time. Please do not move equipment if there is a numbered course set up. You are free to use tunnels and jumps, but please be careful on the contact obstacles if they are set up. Please watch your dogs and do not allow them to mark the obstacles, tunnels, jumps or weave poles. If they do, can you kindly rinse with the watering can. Do not place any human items or treats on the dog walk. Do not rest or lean on the dog walk. It is an expensive piece of equipment, not a table. Note: there are chickens and horses next door at times, please do not allow your dogs to bark or charge the fence at them. Also, do not let your dogs repeatedly run up to the horses if they are near the fence, and potentially scare them. They are not as visible from the lower field. I have an older dog that sometimes barks from inside the house but she is not visible. Thanks for exploring our Sniffspot!

We value our neighbors and appreciate your help in respecting their homes while visiting our Sniffspot. The full lot is 0.3 acres with wildlife bordering majority of the yard - if you’re lucky, wildlife like deer & lots of squirrels + birds can be spotted! I pick up after my dogs on the weekend. Edit 1/19/25: Construction debris on/around the deck has been removed. Edit 4/17/25: Fencing along the right side (when you walk in) has been re-done! Edit 6/16/25: We have regularly scheduled landscaping which will hopefully help with foxtails. Please remember this is a yard and not a dog park. Edit 9/27/25: Please do not block any driveways including ours when finding parking. Edit 6/2/26: The calendar has been updated to reflect availability on week days from 7am-6pm. Weekends are no longer offered due to planned landscaping/maintenance to ensure better experience for visitors.
