We have a 5 acre OFF LEASH area available, and an ON LEASH walking trail in the back of our property. We are pleased to invite you and your dog to our lovely fully fenced in area on our 12 acre property in the countryside of Montpelier, VA. 30 min from downtown Richmond, VA - come escape to the quiet and tranquil area we have set up and fenced off for dogs. An additional nature area for walking is available in the back; however, dogs MUST be leashed in this area, as it is not fully fenced back there. Walking trails have been cut and wildlife is often seen in our little sanctuary. Please be mindful of neighbors and leave the area as you found it. Fall is in the air and our spot is perfect to enjoy a nice, quiet escape! Our secluded dog pasture is located on a dead end in Beaverdam. As you enter the gravel driveway, you will see designated parking alongside a shaded shed. Just a short walk away is the entrance to a fully fenced doggie pasture. In warmer months, the (4) chairs and a table will have an umbrella available for some shade. We also will have a shade sail for the pups use as well as a garden hose and drinking bowl (for the dogs only preferred). There are covered dog shelters so your pooch can have some shade. Doo doo bags, a scooper and trash can are nearby for cleaning up. The area is far removed from the street We are easily reached should you have any issues at all and the area has security cameras for safety. We do not have any outside pets that will interfere with your visit. A burn barrel and wood is available for visits in the cooler months. Take a ride through the county and enjoy our clean and pesticide/fertilizer free pasture!

There should be a bucket of toys, poop baggies in a ziploc bag that are likely inside of the weatherproof tub by the deck stairs, a pooper scooper and a hose etc, so please feel free to use any of it as needed.

Our yard is around .25 acres and fully fenced with a 6ft privacy fence. Only 5 minutes from downtown! We do have a deck (perfect for throwing that ball!) and a patio. We live on a cul-de-sac so parking can be a bit wonky but there are usually spaces available or you’re welcome to pull into our driveway if one of our cars is not there. ***please read*** There’s been a recent disturbance in the lot behind our yard, some developer is cutting down trees and possibly paving a road to a housing unit that has yet to be built. At the moment we’re not sure exactly what is happening but we are gathering more info and will hopefully have a timeline of how long this construction work will be. If your dog is afraid of loud machinery, you may want to reschedule your visit for a Sunday. As of now that seems to be the only day of the week they’re not working back there. We are very sad this is happening near our yard, as part of the reason we bought this house was the privacy we felt in our back yard.
