I have a large space that I am sure a dog will love to run in. In the winter, post rain, it can get VERY muddy back there. Years of dogs running around has torn up a lot of the ground cover and it's now just dirt, which becomes mud in the winter. In the summer, the "grass" (more weeds than actual grass) gets very dry. There are some burrs due to the dryness so if your dog has longer fur they might get some attached to them. I do my best to weed the weeds that produce them, but there still might be some. It's a fairly large open space with a longer run on the side. Also, I want to note that in the back of the property the fence is lower, around 4/4.5 feet (the rest of the yard is at least 6 feet), so if your dog is a good jumper, this could be an issue. Perfect for hanging out or training with your dog or letting him or her roam free for an hour (or more!) while you get things done. Completely secured with extra gate between font and backyard. All breeds and dogs of any size are welcome but please leave yard as you found it (broom and trash can provided!) The spot is walking distance to West Oakland Bart station (About 10-12 minute walk). We have neighbors on either side of our home but it’s a very quiet neighborhood overall. Please do note that occasionally you can hear a dog barking from houses in the neighborhood or voices of neighbors enjoying their yard. There are chairs and a coffee table on the patio for your use, if desired, while your dogs explores. A bowl with water and a hose is provided.

A lot of vegetation and places to sit down, meditate, read a book, study, or have a picnic. Your pup will love to run and play in our one-acre garden. Picking fruit or vegetable etc. is off the limit. Drinking water for animals is provided in various containers throughout the property. Please do not turn on or use any water equipment on our property - we had some serious problems in the past because of this. Please clean up after your dog’s “business” - smile. That’s a serious and mandatory request. Poop bags are available in the plastic box with the other dog gear, but please bring your own backup supply just in case and do not leave the poop bags behind. BROWN garbage can is in the front of the house by the street for your convenience. Thank you! Woof woof! 🌸 Note: in the rainy season we might not change the water for dogs because it’s senseless. Please arrive always with your own supply of water - rain or shine - and if it’s raining you might like to wear rain boots as well. Have fun!

Pups of all sizes enjoy this spot. Half acre property, fully fenced and gated, good privacy, lawn, pool, lounge chairs, table and chairs, flower gardens, redwood trees, olive trees, persimmon trees, meditation garden, hummingbirds, and even a red fire hydrant. Optional pool access for people can be purchased as an Extra, by the hour and by the person. The pool is unheated except by the sun/air. We love all dogs and welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes and hair types to visit; however we can only offer pool access for non-shedding pups, as long hair and fur was unfortunately causing damage to the pool equipment; If you are booking for more than one non-shedding dog swimming or for longer than an hour, please message us with info about your dog(s) and we will create an extra for you for the number of dogs you have swimming. Most visitors find the lawn size ample for running around and throwing a ball a bit, but if you are looking for a field to launch a tennis ball as far as you possibly can with a Chuck-it, the yard is not really the right size and shape for that, sorry! Hours right now are 6:30am to 5:30pm. If you are booking prior to 8:30am, please book no later than 9:00pm the night before, so that we see the booking before we go to bed.
