Since it is out in the woods, be aware that there are some big spider webs crossing the trails, but that shouldn’t stop you from giving this place a visit. 55Sometimes I wonder if I come here for me or my pups. It’s perfect in all senses.
I’ve showed up a few times and Camille is on the mower/tractor mowing to make sure that there is a path for people and their pups to walk so they don’t have to walk in the high grass and can avoid the bugs/ticks. Game changer for sure!
The trails are great, the creek is perfect for my dogs to have a quick sip and then cool off if they need to do so.

Sometimes I wonder if I come here for me or my pups. It’s perfect in all senses.
I’ve showed up a few times and Camille is on the mower/tractor mowing to make sure that there is a path for people and their pups to walk so they don’t have to walk in the high grass and can avoid the bugs/ticks. Game changer for sure!

The pond is gorgeous and the path down the right side of the meadow led to a nice incline down to the creek that really worked the pups. The host graciously provides a water station, poo-bag drop, and a tiny library at the start of the trails. We will absolutely be back if ever back in the area. A big plus for having the tools to properly remove ticks, should you find. There was an open field and dirt road to walk through the woods. We found the stream and our dog had a blast. 55This place was incredible. One hour isn’t nearly enough time; we didn’t even get to explore all the trail systems there. I saw another review that said they were there for 3 hours and when we initially started out, I thought, “I can’t imagine how someone booked it for 3 hours”. Okay, now I get it. I feel like we didn’t get through half of it. My dogs easily could’ve kept going, but they loved the hour we were there regardless. Next time, I’m booking 2 hours! Well worth the 45 minute drive from Richmond. Also, Camille is amazing - super friendly and you can tell she’s a huge dog lover! Amy L.
