Pig Beach (near Port Ludlow)

Fully Fenced
0.63 acres

A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch (late Spring to early Fall) you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). With that said, a 8 ft tide still gives you approximately 20 feet x 300 feet of beach to roam so you pup still has some room to explore and 9ft is approximately 10 feet x 30 feet. You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry. Note - restroom is only available if I'm home, otherwise there is one approximately 2 miles northwest at the gas station in Port Ludlow

Camp Dilly Dally Doggie Park In Buckley

Partially Fenced
5 acres

We offer five acres of partially mowed fields and a natural wooded area. There is a small spring-fed pond and access to South Prairie Creek. Since the creek has a variable current, it may be best for larger dogs. The pond is ideal for smaller dogs who aren't strong swimmers. There are some logs and rocks to step over so sturdy shoes are recommended. We make a constant effort to subdue the blackberries but you may encounter strong-willed vines. Please avoid the dead tree area. There is a shed with supplies where you park.

55What an amazing spot, Todd has done amazing with creating a great environment for the dogs and humans. The creek was perfect for the dogs to splash in and there was plenty of running space. There was poop bags provided, water, and lots of balls for the dogs to choose from. For the humans there was so much wildlife to spot. We enjoyed watching small fish in the creek and big birds near by. The whole spot was well fenced in and felt secluded without being to far out in the boondocks. Todd was responsive and was happy to share more info on the salmon that run through the creek, he was also more than happy if we wanted to extend our trip seems nobody was booked after us. We cannot recommend this property enough!

55Awesome spot, very friendly owner, great creek that runs through the property, deep enough for our dog to play around in. Great birdwatching. Pretty easy drive up from Seattle, too.

55Our dogs had the best time!! Loki, my husky, LOVES the water, and the fencing was secure enough so that he couldn't get through anywhere. Those 2 things make this a perfect spot in my book! We will definitely come back lots of times so my dogs can continue to be river goblins (:

55We drove hour+ to get there, it was worth it! The Creekside area was beautifully maintained (luckily field had *just* been mowed). My pup loved the water: splashing, leaping bank-bank across the creek, bravely crossing bridges, and retrieving ball. She even tried swimming at the deep point. We had a total blast. Hope we can make it back!

55We drove an hour and a half to visit this spot, and it was SO worth it! One area of the creek was deep enough for our ridgeback to get a swim, but the rest of it was perfect for playing fetch in the water. He was able to get a ton of running and swimming laps in! Our Maltese, who hates the water, loved watching his brother run in/out of it! He also had the courage to cross a wooden bridge with water right under it. The home and yard are beautiful, we will be back!

55What an incredible Sniff spot. By far our best experience with an incredible space. Todd was very kind and welcoming, providing all necessary instructions to the property and sharing with us about the property. We can tell how much heart and soul he has put into the property. Our pup had the BEST time. We could stop smiling watching our city pup enjoy running as fast as he could and getting curious about the water. The farm fresh eggs were a plus and so we're the Dahlias that Todd graciously gave to us. You can see the horses (they are far and hidden) and chickens and our reactive pup left them alone. The birdwatching kit was a fun touch! We can't wait for our next visit. Thanks Todd for sharing this space with us!

Frequently asked questions about Silverdale dog beaches

Why are private dog beaches better than public dog parks in Silverdale?

Private dog beaches in Silverdale eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Silverdale's 10 private dog beaches offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Silverdale dog beaches compared to public dog parks?

Silverdale dog beaches are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Silverdale dog beaches eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Silverdale dog beaches safe for reactive dogs?

Silverdale owners of reactive dogs choose dog beaches because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy swimming and beach activities while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Silverdale reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Silverdale dog beaches?

Yes! Silverdale dog beaches provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a waterfront area where dogs can swim, play in sand, and enjoy beach activities off-leash at their own pace without stress. Many Silverdale dog beaches offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are Silverdale dog beaches good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Silverdale dog beaches because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Silverdale avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog beaches eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do Silverdale dog beaches work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Silverdale dog beaches because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Silverdale dog beaches with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do Silverdale dog owners say about dog beaches?

Reviews of Silverdale dog beaches consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs. Local favorite Ashley's 25 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Duvall is particularly praised in Silverdale. Read reviews to see real experiences from Silverdale dog owners with similar needs.

How clean and maintained are Silverdale dog beaches?

Silverdale hosts maintain their own dog beaches and take pride in providing excellent experiences. All guests must have vaccinated dogs (or titers). Many Silverdale hosts provide poop bags, trash cans, and regular cleaning. Reviews highlight maintenance quality—browse Silverdale dog beach listings to see real feedback about cleanliness and upkeep.
