I can’t say enough good things about this place! I have two big reactive dogs, and unfortunately a small backyard, and to have this kind of opportunity to let them run in a safe fenced in space is just priceless. Thank you Elizabeth for providing this wonderful space❤️

Beautiful, peaceful spot for a walk. We saw turkeys when we first arrived and cows on the hill on the neighboring property, but otherwise didn’t see anyone. Dogs loved sniffing around outside the barn once inside the gate. Appreciate the provision of chairs in a shady spot on a hot afternoon!

Beautiful spot! I thought my dogs had found a way out of the fence when they went down to the creek but rest assured, it was inside the fence and there’s even fencing over the pipe so they can’t go in there either. We’re from VA, visiting relatives in Candler, and it was wonderful to have such a big, quiet space where the dogs could run and play freely all to ourselves!

Absolutely gorgeous. My dog had the time of her life! If only I could post the videos of her running about!

My dogs absolutely love this spot! So much space for them to run around and perfect for reactive dogs like mine who find it difficult to get quality off leash exercise in Asheville.

Had a great time here. The field is nice and big with plenty of space to run around. There is some horse poop to watch out for and the ground is a little uneven for walking, but it’s a really nice quiet spot.

Great space with lots of room to run! Big hills to tie them out. My dogs did manage to get outside the fence somewhere near the creek but it's remote and I didn't have to worry about cars. They did come back after about 10 minutes of looking. Still a great place though.

This is a HUGE fenced field! It's right next to a cow pasture which for some might not be ideal but for me and my dog it was pretty neat! She's never seen an animal that big before. They didn't mind her initial barking and ignored her excited zoomies. This would be a great place to practice off leash recall with some distractions.

This spot was great for our two dogs - there was a good mixture of shade and sun and plenty of space for them to run. The land is on a bit of a hill so dogs can go out of sight but the fence is secure. There wasn’t a ton of water in the creek the day we went but I’m sure that depends on timing.

This is my second time at this spot and I will go back. The land is gorgeous and the dogs have a blast exploring. There are chairs, a hammock and bug spray (nice touch!), but no water so bring your own. The listing states grass will be long and it was pretty long…ideally the grass would be a bit shorter so the dogs can run a little easier but the host is clear about this on the listing and that is appreciated.

The space is huge with varying hills/flatness, great for exploring, there’s a little water hole that my dog loved with a hammock nearby for me!
What other types of private dog parks are available?
Dog water parks
Many hosts have added water features like pools and/or are nearby lakes or rivers.
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 0% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Simsbury area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
