We have 19 wooded acres with our boarding facility being located at the South end of our property, the owners personal residence in the middle and our private SniffSpot play yard at the North end of our property. We do have a nice walking trail that meanders through our property but please be aware that our Playful Pups Retreat Staff may be walking overnight boarding dogs on the trail during our business hours. There is a container with a few toys to play with inside the SniffSpot yard but we do suggest bringing your own toys. Please bring poop bags and clean up after your pet. Comfy Adirondack chairs with pull-out foot rests are available for those who want to relax, or there is an outdoor strider running machine that you’re welcome to use if you want to workout while your dogs explore!

Hello fellow pet parents! We have a total of three lush green acres available for your beloved pet friends to explore. The space is fully-fenced. Our fence is a 3.5 foot high cattle fence with wire mesh. The entrance to our spot is a large metal swing gate. The spot has cut short-grass. There are lots of deer among other animals in the area so your dog can have their own sniffing adventure! No need to worry if your dog is reactive because these animals usually keep their distance. We have digging areas and poop bags. We also have some wood planks that could possibly be used for agility jumps (See pictures). You can enjoy a chill hangout at the picnic table, or relax on the lawn chairs while watching your pup. Hand sanitizer, sunscreen, and a trash can will be provided as well. At this time we are not able to offer water or doggy bowls. The area is quite tranquil; you can enjoy birds chirping or even meditate. Portable lawn chairs are also accessible. It’s a perfect place to take some time off from daily life struggles and relax; both for you and your furry friend! Shady spots are available during any time of the day if you don’t like to be under the sun. We would love to see your furry friends enjoying our yard. Enjoy our perfect, not so perfect oasis while you visit! We have 3 Australian shepherds that enjoy our yard so much that they wanted to share it with you. We can leave a water dish as well as poo bags and a scoop, whatever you choose. We also have corn hole/ladder toss available if you would like to play while watching your pup(s) play! (Please ask in advance for yard games and I’ll put them out) Parking is in the driveway, you simply enter the backyard through the gate on the left. Please make sure to close the gate behind you. Grill is not available for use. Both shed and home are locked at all times. Please clean up after your dog(s) and watch them carefully. Take care of my things as you would your own. We hope you enjoy as much as we do! Disclaimer: We HAVE ring security cameras at both the entrance and rear of home. Another thing I’d like to add is: While we are at work, our dogs ARE inside and you will most likely hear them barking. If you’d rather have less distractions to enhance your time, I’d recommend booking during evening hours (after 5:30 PM) to give me an opportunity to get my dogs out of the house and/or on the weekend with notice. We also live next to a major highway, separated by a large sound barrier, but not recommended for dogs with high sound sensitivity.
