Welcome to Nessel & Luna’s Private Farm Dog Park (5 acres) in south Maplewood. This is a calm, spacious property where dogs can sniff, explore, roam, and enjoy the sights and smells of nature away from busy streets and crowded public parks. The main play area includes a large fenced section, approx. 60 ft x 100 ft, with room for dogs to run, play fetch, wander, and decompress. The property also has open land, trees, wildlife scents, and a peaceful farm-like setting near I-94 and McKnight. This spot is great for dogs who need private space, dogs who do better away from public dog parks, dogs building confidence, or owners who simply want a quiet place to let their dog be a dog. Resident dogs will be kept separate during visits. Please keep dogs supervised, clean up after your dog, and close all gates behind you. Unfenced areas should be used on leash unless otherwise discussed.

We ask that our guests park by the barn and go straight to the lake then to the left around the lake. Trails are marked. It is about a 1 mile trail or more. trails are not plowed open in the winter but are perfect for snow shoeing, hiking an fat tire bikes in the snow on the trails or perfect spring to fall on the maintained trails.

Opportunity Woods offers 5+ acres of hilly woods and long grass meadow surrounded by a secure 6 foot fence. Several benches are placed along the rustic trails, but of course, there is no need to stay on a trail! 7 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Lindstrom

Our property is a dog’s paradise! We have an open backyard, wooded trails, and an orchard out back with tall grasses. We keep the trails and orchard mowed for walking, but your dog will have ample woods, puddles, and other adventures at their disposal! Since we live in the woods, we occasionally have trees fall down on our 5 foot welded wire fence. Please be mindful if your dog is an exit seeker, although we walk the fence and mend any spots we see often. There is a large pole barn visible near the gate where you enter that is our neighbor’s yard. His yard/barn is not visible from the rest of the property once you’re down the path a little ways. For SPRING/SUMMER months, tics and mosquitos are around. We do not spray our land, so make sure you and your pup have the protection you need. In summer mosquitos are often worse near dawn and at dusk, especially in thicker parts of the woods, and less so in the backyard and orchard areas. In the winter, we snowmobile our trails to keep them walkable! There may be slippery spots here and there, so prepare accordingly! Be sure to look ahead at the roads on MN 511 in case of winter weather.

There are areas of trails, woods, prairie, and mowed grass. There is a barbed-wire fence marking the property line around the property, however it is not fully-fenced. 12/31/25 update: I have tried to maintain a plowed trail, but the wind gusts are doing everything they can to stop me. The field has snow drifts over the trail. PARKING only at the barn/field entrance. You will not be able to drive into the field until after snow melt and once the ground firms up, likely in late April to mid May. We have a beautiful piece of land with a (mostly) fenced perimeter and 1/3 acre fully fenced doggy play area. If you drive in by the picnic table you are in the center of 18 acres to play on and will be quite a distance from the road. There are mowed walking paths to the beautiful Kinnickinnic river, far away from other people and animals. You and your dog will love it here! The river is cold and easy for dogs to hop in and out, (not easy for humans right now). If you want to keep them out of the water there is about 10 acres of open field where you park, separate and above the river so you don't need to have them down by the water at all. (although most dogs gravitate to there!)

Plan is to open site by June 30, 2026. Front area will have a securely fenced area, as well as adjacent grassy unfenced area. Upon following the driveway to behind the residence, there is another less securely fenced area. This area exits to a pond area and another bigger grassy area. At the point that the path crosses over the creek, a sign posted will request dogs to be leashed beyond that point, both for safety and for the purpose of avoiding intruding upon the neighbor’s property. Various walking paths will be cleared through the small woods, after which walkers may double back and complete their trek in the area around the barn and residence. There will be a small picnic area outside of the front fully fenced private dog park area.
