55Really terrific spot. Easy to get to. Stacy‘s place has all a dog (and their human) could ask for. You enter through the side gate that takes you to a rustic stone step way down to the main yard. There you find a delightful landscaped pool with waterfall. The rest of the yard has an outdoor kitchen area, fire pit area and artificial turf grass area. Lots of spaces and places for your furry friend to sniff, play ball and even take a dip in the pool. Stacy is a very friendly host. Really loved this spot. Cory B.

55Stacy’s yard and pool were a lovely spot to tire out our dogs - Coco and Poppy. They loved running around within the well fenced area. There were a couple of chairs for us to sit and relax too. Arpita B.

55Such a great backyard!! Stacy provided everything my pup and I needed for a fun, comfortable visit. We’d been looking for a spot with a pool too, and this one did not disappoint!! Fair warning though, that water was chilly. I’m sure it warms up a bit on a hotter day (it was only 75 today). Overall, a fantastic place!Lizzy L.

55The boys had the time of their lives! We do not have a yard and Sniffspots is really the only way for them to run freely in a safe and contained environment. Stacy’s yard is beautiful and the boys had a chance to get comfortable going in and out of the pool and running allover. We also love the extra security of having another gate to walk through before entering and exiting. We would love to return! Cassie N.

55We had a great time in this neat space! Our dog loved zooming around and hopping on the logs, and tossing around pine cones. The hosts were lovely and very understanding. It is muddy after rain but I think it adds to the fun for the pups, just be sure to wear practical shoes :)Yishian Y.

55Arrived at sniff spot location and was hesitate about parking on the street because I didn’t think and or saw any other cars parked. Walked into the area and my pup loved it, it has rained the night before so it was a bit muddy but knew it before arriving. Great space for him to run around and went on little laps since there was a little trial that goes in a circle since he was a bit obsessed with a pine cone that he found.Pam H.

55What a wonderful spot for our girl! Our pit is extremely reactive to strangers and other dogs so this place was like heaven to her!! She ran and zoomed around like a puppy all off leash!!!! I am so grateful a spot like this exists!!!
We got to briefly meet the home owners and they were super nice!
The chicken coop did attract our girl but fortunately she was rescued and stayed in a home with chickens so she was ok - and we could keep her occupied in another part of the yard - I did feel kinda bad for the chickens though cause when she went to the coop they freaked out a bit.
Bring water cause their are small ponds that would not be good for dogs to drink - really happy this place exists and we will be back for sure!Micki C.

55Such a beautiful garden and a lot of room for my pup to explore. There was a wiggle ball and my dog had never experienced that before, so that was big fun. Lily is very sweet and conscientious. I would definitely recommend.Lisa F.

55Amazing space for you and your pup. This aptly named sanctuary is large and spacious, covered in lush greenery.
I had an accident in front of the house where I shouldn’t have tried parking in. The host, Lilly was amazing. I was so panicked, Lilly handled the situation, telling me to care for my dog first and my car second. She advocated for me and got kind strangers to help me dislodge my car instead of waiting hours for a tow truck. My lesson, I will park across the street.
After the fiasco, she made me some tea and gave me an amazing tour of her garden, that is extremely loved and cared for. Lilly is amazing and so is her home. I hope you can all experience this sniffspot, I will be coming back!!Julisa L.

55Returned to this bucolic spot and it was even more lovely, relaxing, and dog-friendly than before. You may encounter some kids in a treehouse next door, but they were sweet and quiet, and my usually kid-averse dog did extremely well with them. Emily G.

FAQ about our Alamo dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 96% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Alamo area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 145 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 19 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
There are 19 Sniffspot dog parks that offer fields in or near Alamo where dogs can be off leash. The most popular field is Agility practice field and large backyard.
