55Such a unique opportunity to be able to roam and play on this beautiful and rugged property in the forest and foothills! Super easy to get to, but the driveway is a little secluded and easy to miss. The long winding driveway is also 50% ice packed right now. What a wonderful spot!!! Absolutely beautiful with lots of space to roam, sniff, and be a dog! Carol is such a thoughtful, responsive, and accommodating host. It’s not easy to find mountain spots for my reactive pup to explore without the pressure of dogs and people. We’ll definitely be back!

55This is an excellent spot - the agility field was an open, level place for our dogs to check out and get comfortable in before they moved to the more rugged (but fenced!) terrain. It was the perfect combination of letting our dog get to feel like she was independently exploring nature while giving the humans a beautiful location to relax and listen to the birds (there were so many birds and wildflowers - it was incredible!). We are VERY careful with fencing because our dog has zero recall and a real enthusiasm for chasing woodland creatures and this fencing was excellent! It was the perfect combination of letting our dog get to feel like she was independently exploring nature while giving the humans a beautiful location to relax and listen to the birds (there were so many birds and wildflowers - it was incredible!). This space is clearly set up by someone who understands all the little quirks and needs a dog might have. It was a 4 hour drive round trip for our group and worth every second in the car. My pup is dog aggressive so we decided to try out sniffspot. This was the best first experience we could have had! My dog has never tried agility but LOVED the course here! We hope to visit again. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
