55Incredibly pleasant. The creek is the highlight - shallow places to wade, and deep places to swim. The owner, Gregory, is very accommodating, and his dog, Carolina, might have been Wally’s favorite part of this SniffSpot. There isn’t any signage on the main road, just two mailboxes and a gravel entrance to the homestead, so watch closely and use Google Maps, not Apple Maps.Rachel J.

55We had a great time here. My dog is fearful of strangers, so I really appreciated that our host Gregory understood that and gave him space. My dog was able to relax and enjoy the woods and creek. Lauren K.

55What a great way to spend an hour, weaving through wooded paths, wading through a stream, and following my hound’s nose to his heart’s content. Gregory met us and showed me a few photos that helped me recognize different trails. We’ll be back. Thank you, sir!!Kristen B.

55We had so much fun here!!! We will absolutely be coming back. The trail and creek are close enough to the main road in that you could hear traffic noises, so that’s something to consider if you have a noise sensitive dog (like I do). But with that being said, even my noise sensitive dog had so much fun playing in the creek that he still had a blast! 10/10 recommend, especially on a hot day. Allie G.

55This is exactly the kind of place we've been looking for. Somewhere to take our huskies in the heat of the summer. The creek was full enough that they could cool off without having to swim and it's very shady.
Definitely better for people that don't mind walking through overgrowth. There is a well walked route and lots of marker flags, but the paths are narrow.Kelly R.

55Gregory was super friendly and easy to communicate with. The creek is perfect for letting your pups frolic and burn some energy and great for a pup parent to sit back, relax, and listen to the creek babble. Highly recommend and will be back!Jackie C.

55We had the best time at Gregory’s! I have a reactive dog and they accommodated us every step of the way. By the end of our visit I had to drag my dog out of there he loved it so much! We will definitely be back and look forward to exploring Gregory and Carolina’s spot again!Dana D.

55This is a nice shady spot for a dog who loves water and exploring, without having to always swim, since the creek isn’t super deep. We will definitely go back. My dog was delighted like he won the lottery! Recommend long pants and closed toe shoes for humans in summer when plants are thicker-growing. There are no fences/barriers to the road if you are using the creek/trails , however my dog was not interested in exploring that direction, given the bounty of woods and creek. We had a lovely time. 55Was a very nice site to let the dog romp around in the creek . The water was deep enough in areas to get completely wet . Small dogs could swim a little. Some hiking around the creek! Terri D.

55Doggie heaven. Our dogs had such a great time splashing in the creek and bounding through the grasses. Robert is clearly a dog lover who has created a pup paradise. He maintains the trails so it was easy enough to navigate through all the growth and find spots to sit while the dogs played. He even let us rinse off the dogs before we got can in the car, which was very helpful and generous. I now have a very happy and exhausted dog. We'll definitely be back!Alex S.

55Morgan Creek K9 Park is a little slice of paradise! The driveway is clearly marked with a hand-painted Sniffspot sign (conveniently located just down the street from Maple View Farm Ice Cream). Gregory was exceptionally accommodating and welcoming, taking care to put Carolina (his Shepherd) inside when we arrived, and informing us that he would stay seated at his picnic table in case our pooch was reactive. None of these precautions were necessary for our friendly dog, but indicated his awareness and appreciation for dogs of all sensitivities. He helped orient us to the trail markers, explaining that we could walk a mile upstream. He had walkie talkies available if we wanted them, and he offered a waste station and hose to rinse off when we returned. We found plenty of shady seating by the creek, and spent an idyllic hour watching our pooch romp in the creek. The current was super gentle, and the depth was shallow enough to allow our 70 lb Lab to walk in most places. Thank you, Gregory, for allowing our Lab to learn that water is fun! And thank you for your Military Service! Tracy S.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
