🐾 Welcome! Welcome to a relaxed, dog-friendly yard where dogs can be dogs. The yard is fully fenced with two side entrances. For the easiest access, please park on the left side of the house and use the left-side gate (not the driveway side). This isn't a perfectly manicured lawn. Sniffing, zoomies, and some digging are all welcome. Digging is fair game. Just keep excavation projects away from the house and short grass to avoid creating ankle twisters. The yard was previously home to multiple dogs, so your pup may stumble across the occasional hidden toy or mystery bone. There is a milk crate if old bones and balls found you are welcome to. Located on a quiet no-through street, you'll likely see neighbors walking dogs, kids playing, and hear the distant sounds of the elementary school behind the back fence. It's all part of the neighborhood soundtrack. There's plenty of shade, chairs (feel free to move them wherever you'd like), and usually something blooming throughout the season. Want to be hands free but don't trust your dog off leash. There is a cable line with a clip attached to the large tree in the center of the backyard, the one surrounded by rocks, but the line is short. You'll need to bring a longer leash line to attach. The back porch belongs to the house, so we ask that dogs keep the party in the yard. A quick sniff is fine, but please close the porch gate if it's open. Water is available from the spigot just inside the left gate, and a water bowl is provided. Hours: Sun up to sun down. The house has several people coming and going throughout the day. If your dog is reactive or aggressive toward people, we'd still love to host you. Just send a message and give us a few days notice before your visit so we can let everyone know to avoid the yard during your reservation. We want every guest, both two- and four-legged, to have a safe, stress-free visit. The back fence has a few small gaps. They haven't been an issue yet, but every dog is different. If your pup discovers an escape route, please let me know! I'll have my handyman patch it up before the next adventure. Meet Rascal: Our fluffy black cat and self-appointed neighborhood supervisor. You can park on the road or in the grass along the fence line to the field. Please do NOT walk your dog in the unfenced area! Ensure your dog is securely leashed before exiting your car, and walk them directly into the field. Ensure the gate is secured behind you before letting your dog off leash! Please ensure they are safely secured again before exiting the field and returning to your car! *This spot is first and foremost an agility field! There is equipment setup as seen in the photos pretty much all the time. You do not need to be an agility whiz to rent- if you are looking for a quiet, safely enclosed space to let your dog have some off leash time, you are more than welcome here! But do note that it is not a wide open space meant for free running. If your dog has never done agility, do not force them onto any obstacle. Reward them for investigating things, but best not let them have a bad time or get hurt bailing off of a higher obstacle if they are at all unsure. Please do NOT change the height of any jumps unless you know how to do so CORRECTLY! Do not attempt to move or change the height of any tunnels, the teeter, weave poles, or larger obstacles. And please no humans (children included) on or inside of ANY of the obstacles! They are not meant to bear the weight of a human, and they are expensive to replace if damaged. AKC Regulation a-frame, teeter, dogwalk, and jumps from Max200. MAD Agility channel weaves. Tunnels from Clean Run. Keep your dogs leashed for safety when entering/exiting the agility field as the rest of the property is not fenced. It is low tech back there. There is no electricity or running water. Gates are secured with bungees for now until permanent posts & latches are installed. Please bring water, bug spray, sunscreen, proper footwear, etc. The pine trees provide lovely shade, but they do also provide pinecones and twigs. Give the space a once over to ensure you & your dog can run safely! Clean up after your dogs please! Stay safe, have fun, and happy sniffing 🐽

I have some single track trails through the woods but the biggest area to explore is along the gas pipeline there's about a mile of space to my north than just about a half mile to the south, there are some spots where it does get soggy more song to the soft if you had no if there's one little frog pond and then you go up a big hill and it's dry

Fetch and swim forest

At the entrance is a 5.5 foot 1 acre closed off cattle fenced area. The fence is tall and heavy duty and separate from the swimming area. The fencing is all of our It front and side yard. The back yard is the forest and swimming area. Still all private from any other dogs or people. Straight ahead from where you park with the fenced area entrance on your left, will lead you down a small mossy old boat launch/trail. Once you reach the bottom you will be on a peninsula and surrounded by the Quinebaug river on 3/4 sides. The fourth side is the steep cliff that leads up to our to the edge of the fenced area. It is not fenced but nearly impossible for your dog to get out unless they are a very competitive swimmer or rock climber. Or they run up the small trail you came through. I hope you enjoy the space for your time as much as we do.

2.5 acres of Doggy Heaven!

The yard is completely fenced in. There is a huge clearing for ball throwing and running, as well as woods further back for adventures. This yard has everything a dog could want. People find it pretty awesome too!!! Update: WATER IS BACK ON FOR SPRING, SUMMER AND FALL!!!...use the spigot on the back side of house, left of wooden gate…enjoy!!!
