It's rare to find a spot like this so close to the city! There's lots of room here for activity—whether your fur-babies like to roam and sniff all the smells, find and chew on endless sticks, play long distance fetch (with our handy chuck-it), or just get some serious exercise running at full speed up and down the hill. We have two large breed dogs ourselves (an Australian Shepherd and a Great Pyrenees) and this yard is their happy place! Our Pyr is a rescue who can't be off leash or go to dog parks, so our property is the only space where he's free to be himself. And when we discovered Sniffspot, we wanted to offer the same opportunity for other doggos like him. No pup should be kept from the joys of life because of what they've been through! Our home is super easy to find/access and we have plenty of private (off-street) parking available, making it an ideal space to meet up for playdates. "Paws On Parkwood" is a small 1 acre fully fenced field at the front of our property. This field is shared with our goats, all goats have been hand raised and will be in their dedicated area at the time of your visit. This area is fully fenced and has areas of trees, maintained grass, unmaintained grass (goat feed) and patch type woods along the property line. Pull into the driveway and park in front of the "Parking" sign that will be on the right, close to the house. To enter the field, follow the driveway halfway back down the driveway to the gate with the "Paws On Parkwood" sign.

Please note I had a dead tree come down during the hurricane. It has been removed and a fire pit has been started in its place. The neighborhood is super calm and quiet, and often the only sounds are birdsong! At the end of my block, there is a walking trail (South river trail). Very quiet also.

It can be a great retreat for you and your dog to come play, run and/or relax. We have lots of toys for your fur kid! If you have a reactive dog or just crave some good privacy, this is the perfect spot for you. Tall, secure wooden fence is 6 feet tall on the sides and 8 feet tall across the back. Lots of level grassy areas to run and play in! There’s a fire table for your use. Please be sure to turn it completely off before you leave. When it’s hot out, there’s plenty of shade and we provide an oscillating fan on the deck for some cool breeze. Milk bones are provided, along with a hose and kiddie pool during the warmer months. We turn the water off in the winter so our pipes don’t freeze. Tons of seating! Outdoor living room area, plus an additional table and chairs with umbrella. There's even a sitting area in the yard with a fetching sticks and some toys. Hammock available as an extra for lounging on the deck. Please park along the street in front of the house, but not in front of the mailbox. Thanks!
