This is a private residence with a very large backyard fenced in. We are set back from the road so once you are in our back yard it feels like you are 2 hours + north. In the summer we are often traveling with our children and dog. We are blessed to have such a large piece of property in this area. Some amenities are available and since we are new at this we are looking to see how this goes before adding additional features. At this time the house will be locked up but you are welcome to explore the yard and we have some heavily wooded trails and the very back of the property where often deer are seen. Garden hose, electrical outlets and water dishes available on the backside of the house. We have 3 separate entry/exits along the gate. You are welcome to use any of them, just please close the gate upon leaving. Parking is open to the driveway or the yard. Be aware of a small shallow pond in the front yard. We do not use pesticides or fertilizers on the grass at all but we may use some in the flower beds only. Please clean up any dog messes and a trash can is provided. Enjoy a beautiful walk on a network of trails that traverse rolling hills in and out of the forest. At the back of the property, you will enjoy some of the best and most private scenery in Oakland County. As summer turns to fall there are a lot fewer bugs and beautiful color changes. Some trees are changing already. Please stay on the cleared paths on the West side and South portion of the property due to work being done on other sections. There are wooden arrow signs that help you navigate to the back of the property and back to the parking area. Thank you. This is the Schmidt’s half acre privacy fenced in yard. We have two female GSD’s that will be INDOOR at all times when you bring your pet! I have raised cots with canopies over them meant for only two dogs large and Extra large. We have a small kiddie pool on the side of the porch with much running and playing space for your fur babies! We have tons of play things for kids as well so please bring them too! In the summer we will have a sprinkler and kiddie pool filled with water! We have a few good sized bowls outside with water in them at all times. Please bring your own poop bags! I do have a pooper scooper available for use. Your more than welcome to hang out on the porch in any of the chairs or tables we have out and water bottles will be provided if you become thirsty! Will also provide snacks for kids 5 and under! We have play houses, tree house and trampoline and little kid toys for the little ones! We have neighbors on each side & each have dogs of their own. If your dog is not dog reactive you shouldn’t have an issue! Or if your dog is like one of mine they just run the fence and bark. Which is ok! We want you to feel comfortable and free along with your beloved companion! At the back of my yard there is a gate you can go through which will lead you to acres of fields, creeks and trees! I suggest you keep your dog on a leash past my yard. You are responsible for your dogs health and well being! I only allow dogs that are UTD on their vaccinations! With 2 acres to explore, it’s perfect for off-leash play, high-energy dogs, and pups who love to run and sniff freely. There is seating and fresh water! Things to note: there is occasional mud especially right after a rain. There are bee boxes located outside of northern fence line (your dog will not be able to access them but they are close to the fence line 🐝🍯). Welcome! We are working hard to make our peaceful, quiet 12 acres into a beautiful park. You are welcome at any time, day or night, to walk, run, bike, ski or snowshoe with your dogs. We no longer have any pets-- no more dogs, horses, chickens, or other livestock. We are often visited by deer and groundhogs. Although we have 12 acres, the house and barn are in the middle of it, so you may see the house from many areas during your visit. Usually, we are working inside or we are away and we keep most of the curtains closed. We may use the driveway or receive a delivery. Future plans include clearing the West trails, planting more evergreens, and making an indoor play space in the barn. Our park will continue to improve -- it is a work in progress! We took lots of pictures and will continue to add them. We want you to know as much as possible about the site before you come here for your visit. We welcome your suggestions on how to improve.
