We’re excited to share our private 2-acre organic apple orchard with you and your dog! It is completely enclosed with a 10-foot tall fence. It’s great for dogs who love to run as well as those who need a quiet place to explore. Because our farm sits a bit off the main road, it is usually a peaceful and relaxing environment. Enjoy beautiful sunsets, trees in bloom, and our sunflower patch! There is occasional mud especially right after a rain. There are bee boxes located outside of the back/northern fence line (your dog will not be able to access them). Due to the nature of our property and the outdoor environment, I cannot guarantee the absence of wildlife, wildlife scat, insects, mud, fallen fruit, weather-related conditions, or other natural elements. By booking a visit, guests acknowledge these conditions may be present. Please keep this in mind when scheduling your visit and thank you for understanding :)

Monarch Hills Farm Private Dog Trails With Lake View In Holly

Enjoy a beautiful walk on a network of trails that traverse rolling hills in and out of the forest. At the back of the property, you will enjoy some of the best and most private scenery in Oakland County. As summer turns to fall there are a lot fewer bugs and beautiful color changes. Some trees are changing already. Please stay on the cleared paths on the West side and South portion of the property due to work being done on other sections. There are wooden arrow signs that help you navigate to the back of the property and back to the parking area. Thank you. (We are currently expanding and connecting the trails, as well as clearing the views to the lake and river, so watch for some nice additions in the future.)

We have a fully fenced in yard in the Village Oaks subdivision! Come bring your dogs to have some fun while your kids are at school or have them all come play after school. This is a private residence with a very large backyard fenced in. We are set back from the road so once you are in our back yard it feels like you are 2 hours + north. In the summer we are often traveling with our children and dogs. We are blessed to have such a large piece of property in this area. Some amenities are available and we just added a small doggy pool for your pup to cool off (may not be large enough for big dogs). Our home is generally locked up but you are welcome to explore the yard and we have some heavily wooded trails and the very back of the property where often deer are seen that you may explore. Garden hose, electrical outlets and water dishes available on the backside of the house. We have 3 separate entry/exits along the gate. You are welcome to use any of them, just please close the gate upon leaving. Parking is open to the driveway or the yard. Be aware of a small shallow pond in the front yard. We do not use pesticides or fertilizers on the grass at all but we may use some in the flower beds only. Please clean up any dog messes and a trash can is provided. Feel free to enjoy the views, fire pit, and back deck. Thank you.

To make your visit comfortable, we maintain a wide, freshly mowed walking path that loops entirely through the 5 acres, giving handlers a clean trail to walk while their dogs explore the cover alongside them. The Layout & Safety Details Acreage: 5 full acres of natural, rustic field. Fencing: UNFENCED. This spot is wide open. It is ideal for working breeds, dogs with highly reliable recall, or handlers utilizing training lines. Terrain: Natural, unmowed country field with a mowed walking loop. Please wear sturdy outdoor footwear! Because it is a natural area, we highly recommend up-to-date tick prevention for your pups. Privacy & Homestead Disclosures Total Isolation During Bookings: Your reservation is 100% private. We promise that the 5-acre field will be entirely free of other people and animals for the duration of your visit. Arrival Visibility: Because this is an active homestead, there is a chance you may briefly see us outside taking care of property chores when you first pull into the driveway. However, we will head inside or stay completely clear of the field once you arrive so you can enjoy total privacy. Acoustics: While we have no close or visible neighbors, sound can carry in the country, and you may occasionally hear a neighborhood dog barking in the far distance. Our Animals: For the complete safety and focus of your dogs, our poultry flock is kept completely secure and locked away in their enclosed run during all active bookings. Amenities Provided Dedicated, off-street parking spot right near the field entrance. A clean human seating area near the entrance. Dedicated waste station (trash can + complimentary poop bags). Fresh, clean water station and a dog bowl. Host Rules Please clean up after your pup using the provided waste station. Keep your dog secured until you are in the trail. We have chickens who spend there time around the chicken coop in the front by our home which is not visible from the trail. The neighbors home at the top of the hill is visible a bit. They are friendly and rarely home, if you dog wanders over just bring them back into yard as soon as you can Enjoy the ultimate peace and quiet!

Upon arrival, you’ll find a designated parking spot and a peaceful trail that winds around the back of the property to the park entrance. Along the way, you’ll pass our duck enclosure and pond—feel free to stop and say hi! If you'd like to feed the ducks, they love shredded lettuce or diced cucumbers (please, no bread). At the end of the trail, you’ll find a double-gated entry with a separate area for leashing and unleashing your dog safely. Inside, your pup will have the freedom to explore about a quarter-acre of fenced-in space, featuring fun enrichment structures like a dog bridge and stacked hay bales for climbing, sniffing, and playing. This space is ideal for dogs who prefer a quiet environment without the stress of other dogs nearby.
