The Back Meadow — Private Dog Park & Pool

Welcome to The Back Meadow, a spacious, fully fenced private backyard where your dog can run, sniff, explore, swim, and just enjoy being a dog. The property features a large open lawn with plenty of room for full-speed zoomies, a swimming pool for dogs who love the water, and multiple comfortable seating areas where you can relax while they play. Whether your dog needs space away from a busy public dog park, loves a good game of fetch, or just wants somewhere new to explore at their own pace, you’re welcome here. The yard is surrounded by mature landscaping and trees, with a mix of sunny and shaded areas throughout the day and beautiful views of the sky and sunset. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor seating, and complimentary cold bottled water is available in the outdoor refrigerator. Your reservation is private. We want you and your dog to feel comfortable enjoying the space together without having to share it with unfamiliar dogs. Please make yourself at home, let your dog stretch their legs, and enjoy some quiet time together at The Back Meadow.

The full four acres are surrounded by a 5 foot fence and there is a small creek running through the property. There is a wide spot in the creek that is easily the most popular spot for our canine visitors! In the summer, though, the creek dries up until the fall rains come. You can always message us to find out if there is water in the creek before your visit. There are larger fields and open areas for your dogs to practice their retrieving, and there are many paths in the woods for hiking. The beginning of each path is marked with quartz stones to show you the way. You will also find several benches scattered throughout the property so that you can take a load off while your dogs run and play. When it rains the property can be quite wet in some areas, so bring boots and a towel to clean off your muddy (but happy!) dog. There is a full competition size agility field within the four acres. The agility equipment is completely fenced in and will be accessible only to those who have had at least one formal beginner's agility class. This is to keep you and your dog safe and to prevent misuse of the equipment. Please message the host when you book the spot and before your first visit to discuss your agility experience if you are wanting to access the equipment. **I would really like for your first visit to be on a weekend or a Tuesday (my day off) so that I can meet with you to show you some details about the property and discuss parking. After the first visit, book whenever you want! If you absolutely cannot make it these days for your first visit, we can work something out. 🙂

Outside the fence is an additional 8+ acres to explore. If you wish to go down to the creek then only enter on far right side behind the fence. The path to the water is challenging as it is woodsy and steep. Separate entrance to the backyard to the right of the house. Plenty of parking in the drive way. If you are bringing a child with you, they can sit on the side of the pool or in a chair and watch the dogs swim. They are NOT allowed in the pool under any circumstances unless pre-approved by me in advance!! If You are bringing more than one dog, they must already know each other and get along! It is highly recommended that you brush your dog before your visit. If excessive fur in the filter becomes a problem then this sniff spot will unfortunately no longer be available. Hi! We are so excited to share our little oasis with your pups this summer! Come enjoy our fully fenced in backyard with a pool, lounge area and .5 acre yard! We kindly ask that upon arrival you go around to the left side of the house to access the yard! Please give your pup a rinse with our hose before getting into the pool! We have towels and pool toys available for your use and just ask that you return them in the bins at the end of your time with us. You will also find water bowls and poop bags for your pups as well! A few rules 🐾 We kindly ask that no children under 12 are brought to the space. Please DO NOT let your dog on the furniture. Dog Paradise in Northwest Charlotte

**The pool is open for the season!** Welcome! We have a fun property your dogs will love! We have a 2 acre property, which includes approximately a half acre fenced area, a 1 acre unfenced area, and a separately fenced inground pool area. Only dogs are allowed in the swimming pool (unless you're actively helping or playing with them). Two creeks outline our property and dogs are welcome anywhere on the property. We tend to keep the grass in the back of the property a bit longer to support the bees, but it also makes for lots more sniffing for the pups! If you're using the unfenced portion of the yard, dogs must be on leash. We have dogs of our own, but we will keep them secure in the house when you're using the property so you'll have the whole yard and pool to yourself. We have a water spigot inside dog lot near steps. Please DO NOT use the water spigot in the open field near edge of driveway (handle will not cut off water supply!) No bowls provided due to sanitation so please bring a water bowl. Our property is over 0.2 miles from any public road. Enjoy the quiet country setting and have fun!

The one plus acre field is the area where the dogs would play/run, there are also woods they can go into, they also have access to a pond about 3/4 acre, but this would need to be discussed at first visit so you take a look and see if it is acceptable. If you are in the pond area, please do not go on the side where the house is situated, this is a private area, stay on the opposite side. The whole area is fenced. Five acres in total. We do have five dogs, but they would be in the house when you are visiting with your dogs, you may hear them bark, but would not see them, a separate entrance to the field is available. No traffic near by.

We have a quartz vain through our creek so you will see lots of quartz and pyrite (fools gold). We have lots of toys and treats and nice places under the shade to hang out.
