Wynshire Woods Dog Trail In Whitmore Lake

🌳🌲Welcome to Wynshire Woods! 🌲🌳 We feel so blessed to call this property our home, and would love for others to experience the beautiful nature we get to enjoy each day. Wynshire Woods includes over a mile of trails, fallen trees to sniff, hills to climb, and ravines to explore. Our 49 acre property is nestled in the woods, 1/4 of a mile off of the road with parking near our metal barn at the bottom of our driveway. We have over a mile of beautiful trails through hills and trees, with a short and long trail option. The long trail is about a mile long and takes 40-60 minutes to walk. The short trail is closer to 1/3-1/2 miles and takes around 25 minutes to walk. Take a break at the top of the first hill and relax in the hammock, taking in the peaceful nature around you. This is a great spot to bring a snack or picnic! We hope your dog(s) enjoy all the sights, sounds and smells throughout the woods- we have wild turkey, deer, many small wild animals to see, and and have him/her/them go home tired, satisfied and happy. This is a completely unfenced property. We ask that all dogs are leashed or have a training collar for recall, as wildlife and farm animals are abundant on our property. Dogs MUST be safe with free range chickens and ducks i.e. NOT chase/hurt them. Part of the trail does go past our fenced goat area. We do have 4 dogs who are contained to an invisible fence which does not have access to the trails. As long as your dog does not come into their area, there will be no other dog interactions on our property.

I'm forever grateful to have found this SniffSpot! It's so nicely maintained, there's chairs, toys & treats, and super secure. My dogs have so much fun running around & sniffing every inch. It's perfect for them, as they get overwhelmed at traditional dog parks.

This was a great spot for our dog, lots of space and no other dogs or people spotted. Our dog had a blast running around and exploring. There are enough shady spots for your pup to cool down after running around.

This Sniffspot was perfect for what we needed it for. We used it as a place to stretch our legs on w drive from Ohio to northern Michigan. Plenty enough space, secure fence, nice mowed grass. As a bonus, the host was super responsive and helpful when we needed to push back our time slot. Very happy with this spot; it’ll definitely be a staple on our drives!

This was our first time using sniffspot. Was a great experience. Great open area for pups to run, toys, treats, and poop bags were provided if you need them. Easy to find although it took me a minute to figure out gate, you just push, I was trying to lift.

Nice little place to let the dogs run! We drove an hour to get there because we don’t have any local sniffspots.

Nice, clean, open space big enough for major zoomies. Intact six foot fence was reassuring. Very few spots have a fence this tall. Thank you

So happy to have such a well maintained, safe & secure place to let our dogs run. They had a great time & were completely worn out! We will definitely be repeat visitors! For anyone having trouble finding it, it's just past the Dragon Court restaurant if you're heading east on 36.

FAQ about our Hamburg dog parks

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 95% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Hamburg area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 151 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 24 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
