This is a privately owned empty residential lot. Property is a “pie shape” approximately 2,000 sqft. Fenced section is approximately 130’L with one end at 30’W and the other end at 6’. Entrance is at the corner of Atalanta Avenue and Glen Road. Please park along the long side of the fence on Glen Road. The city does not allow signs (see photos for more clarification). This is a self regulated private dog park / dog run similar to a regular dog park. There is not water on site however a bowl will be left on site (typically inside the toy box to keep it clean). A pet waste station is available along with a “used” poop bag can, trash receptacle, and some dog toys. Please remember to clean up after your dogs, put away toys, and throw away trash. Pesticide free - consider bringing bug spray. To keep moles away, mole spikes that vibrate in the ground are in use and you can hear a buzzing noise. The sand pit / tire area is for digging - please try to keep all digging isolated to the designated area only and try to fill in any holes dug by your dog outside of the pit area. Sun sail is up during spring/summer months only - that’s what the poles are for - no climbing please (currently the sun sail is not being used per the city requests). There is a 5 dog max. We prefer no more than 2 humans to 1 dog. If you are considering a dog birthday party or larger social meetup, please contact us. Come enjoy a 3-4 fully fenced in area where your dog can run and play safely. There is a hill that's great for playing fetch and wearing a dog out as well as a large, flat field in the fenced in area at the bottom for wandering and sniffing.

Ten acres of scenic, secluded, fully fenced pasture and woods with full access to all hiking trails and half acre pond. Be prepared for a good workout with your dog as you explore all the ins and outs of this unique property. One tip we can give you is If you see a path leading somewhere, take it, you never know what you may find at the end of it. Also try to go up top on the hilly property in the beginning of your hike and work your way down to the lower parts as you do the hike. You can see the property and surrounding area better at the higher elevations and get a better feel on how the property is set up. We walk or jog at least five laps of the entire property with our seven australian shepherds every day so we are used to all the challenges the property presents but it will be interesting to see how normal people and dogs handle everything. If you or your dog are faint of heart or not in proper physical condition, we recommend that you reconsider doing the property. You may need more than one hour to go over the whole thing with your dog so bring a snack with you and enjoy it while sitting at the picnic table by the pond. All we ask is that you maintain the cleanliness of the property as it should be spotless with regard to animal waste and trash except for an occasional present from our thoroughbred horse. Also be safe in all that you and your dog do, navigating the property in its entirety can be a bit tricky at times, take proper precautions with tick preventatives for you and your dog, but most of all have some fun with your dog. Our private dog park and hiking trails are patterned after the famous Allerton Park open meadows and hiking trails in Monticello, IL, https://www.alltrails.com/parks/us/illinois/robert-allerton-park/photos, which we must have run hundreds if not thousands of miles on while living and training there for marathons with our three aussies at the time. When we moved to Litchfield ten years ago, we wanted to keep experiencing those Allerton Park nature trails in our own backyard, we even have a butterfly alley at a certain time during the summer just like the famous one at Allerton Park and now we want to share all that with the people of Illinois and Missouri who may not get the chance to do that with their dog off leash the way public parks and trails are set up now. So enjoy and know that with our trusty 33 hp Kubota tractor, we put up every gate, fence post and inch of horse fencing on the property that you see and it is designed to keep all our animals in including very active dogs and livestock. There was nothing here when we first moved in except a few stretches of old rusty fencing which you may still see in some areas covered over by our new fencing. We wanted to keep it there as a reminder of what this property used to be and what we had to do to turn it in to what it is now. One more thing, if you have young puppies or rescue dogs that have never experienced being released off leash in an open area like this, bring them and try it, they will have a great time and they will learn so much and gain confidence in what they are capable of doing physically and mentally. Let them go off leash and just follow them around as they explore the property on their terms. You will see a side of them you never knew they had. A new feature we just added for the winter season is called Winter Sports Bonanza, more information on it can be found here and in the Extras section of this web site. Enjoy your favorite winter sport while your dogs try to keep up with you instead of the other way around. You have a choice of three winter activities to participate in. If you think of any more, let us know. 1. Ice skating on a frozen half acre pond and your dogs can go on it too if they are brave enough. Put your skates on at the picnic table right by the pond. 2. Cross country skiing on a hilly 10 acre property, make sure to walk the property beforehand to see exactly where you want to ski since snow amounts on the ground can vary. 3. Sleigh riding on some of the many hills on the property, not sure how fast you can go on them, have never tried it myself but hook up your dogs to a sled and have them pull you around the 10 acre property if there is enough snow on the ground to do it. All this depends on the weather of course and if you want to do one of these three activities during your visit, please let us know ahead of time and we will let you know right before your visit if the property is in the proper condition to do it in. These winter activities deserve special attention to safety so make sure you are in excellent physical condition and you know what your are doing if you attempt one or more of these activities. This is probably not the place to try cross country skiing, dog sledding or ice skating for the first time.

Beautiful backyard setting on half an acre that backs up to Tiemeyer Park’s trail!

We have 1.25 acres near beautiful downtown, Kirkwood! We have an interior yard and a larger area outback with parking. There’s sheltered seating, water, bowl, dog, toys, and poop bags with accessible trashcan. We also have a pot towel hanging out. Please always let me know if you have any questions! We basically have 2 yards it seems most dogs appreciate the outer yard beyond the driveway the most! 

We live on 5 acres in Foristell. 1/3 acre is fully fenced where dogs can run, play, dig and enjoy themselves. There is a concrete pad in the fenced in area. Chairs are available for use. A firepit is also available. (firewood can be purchased). There is a pond available for dogs to swim in. The pond is stocked with fish (bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish & carp). The pond is not fenced. There are also a couple unfenced fields available to run dogs in. Some woods with trails are also on the property. We have a separate area next to the dog play area that our chickens are in. Farm fresh eggs are available for purchase as well. If days are blocked off area is unavailable due to visitors on site camping. If the chickens will be an issue, we can have them penned up if you reserve before 6am or reserve the day before. There is a wood privacy fence that would keep them out of sight from the fenced in area but they would be audible. We do have wildlife in the area we can’t control so there is a possibility of deer, fox, raccoons, possums, ducks, geese, turtles, turkeys, hawks, eagles and other animals being visible on the other side of the fence at any given time.

Our backyard is a fenced-in 3 acre area where fur babies love to run! Pool area open May-October. Dogs allowed to take a dip with pet owner supervision. We do not rent our pool to humans---only if owner is in pool with their pet!! :)

There’s a patio to smoke and hang under there is water for your dogs, as well as a small kitty pool for any type of dog in the summer in the spring as well as doggy bags and just a enclosed area for any special dog.

Come enjoy my open backyard area with your dog(s)! They will have plenty of room to run and play with your toys, or mine that are provided! You can enjoy time under my covered patio that includes a large table with cushioned chairs. My yard is completely fenced in. I do have a dog myself. He will not be outside while you are here or able to view you and your dog to avoid disruptions or any other issues.

POOL NOT YET OPEN. LIKELY LATE MARCH Our beautiful 3 acres sits just down the road from Missouri Wine Country in Defiance. With our location being ~15 mins from most major areas in St. Charles County, it makes a for a great “getaway” that’s close by. We’ve loved seeing our own pets fall in love with the property and are excited to provide that enjoyment for your fur babies! Do you need a place for your dog to run? Or a lake to swim in? We have you covered. Our home sits on 10 acres of well manicured lawn and a 3 acre fish filled lake. We also have a fenced in area with a 4 foot fence to provide a secure area for your dog to run and play. To top things off, we have a sand beach and a dock for your enjoyment. When you bring your furry companion to our property, you will experience not only a place to run and play but also a peaceful atmosphere to relax in.

Feel free to drive down driveway and park in front of garage. Best place to roam is open area found by walking on path by garden, down steps and across bridge. Woods past treehouse are also interesting. We can put out a bowl for dog water if preferred, but most dogs like to drink out of the creek (though it is dry during dry parts of the year).
