Great spot!! Plenty of room to play ball, and a nice flat grassy play space of a yard. The owner was quick to respond to my questions and it felt like a really safe and clean space. We’ll be back for sure.

My dog Gatha had a wonderful time here! We heard and saw no dogs throughout the visit. Peggy and her husband were very friendly and very sweet to Gatha. We enjoyed our time here very much, and definitely plan to come again in the future!

Great spot my pups had a blast and didn't even explore everything. Host left a tub of stuff Incase we needed it which was nice and there were plenty of spot's for me to sit while they sniffed and rolled around.

Really loved it here! Super clean and my pup had so much fun. It was so nice they provided bug spray too! The fence was enough for my dog who isn’t an escape artist, and he wasn’t interested in anything outside the fence. We did run into their assumed neighbor, which was a bummer from a reactive dog standpoint, but he was really nice about my dog barking at him 🥴. Otherwise though, perfect time and will come again!

My favorite sniff spot so far! The yard is huge, beautiful, clean, well maintained, loads of room to run and plenty of shade and cool spots. There was a bowl of fresh water and even lots of shiny new tennis balls. Totally worth the money to see my dogs so happy and relaxed.

Auggie, my young bully breed and I have returned to Lisa’s yard for the third time.. We love the open space and areas to explore. The yard is easily accessible, clean, and has a beautiful fountain, (also clean) for Auggie To drink from.

Lisa's space is truly a private dog park. It is fully fenced and secure, clean, spacious and quiet. I appreciate the partial shade and area to relax while my dog explores and plays. My dog, Auggie, is a young, reactive dog and the space is perfect for a quiet time, off-leash. Thank you Lisa for sharing your space. Auggie and I will return!

We had a blast at this Sniffspot! The yard is large with a lot of privacy from neighboring yards. The owner was very kind as well. The yard was dry and there is wire between the wood fencing so there are no gaps.

We have been to Derby City play yard several times and each time it is an awesome experience. It’s wonderful for the dogs and for the people! Shady places to relax, lots of room to run, and quiet space to relax and listen to the birds.

This is a lovely, clean and spacious spot with plenty of shade and seating. Nice size for larger dogs to get a full speed run. Jannette has made this a welcoming SniffSpot for owners as well as and dogs ! Would come again when I am traveling through.

What other types of private dog parks are available?
Dog water parks
Many hosts have added water features like pools and/or are nearby lakes or rivers.
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 92% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Louisville area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 37 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 8 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
