Welcome to Charlie’s Hideaway - your dog's new favorite adventure spot! 🐾🐾 This 9-acre, fully fenced native pasture (with 4’ wire square fencing) is made for sniffing, zoomies and exploring. Rolling hills, patches of short and tall grass & a sandy area give your pup plenty of variety to roam and investigate. This private space is also a great fit for reactive dogs or those who need a calm, low-traffic environment. Street parking is available near the entrance and a two-gate entry system provides an added layer of security - allowing you to enter at your own pace and help your dog transition calmly into the space. As you come through the gate, you'll find a covered canopy and welcome station with fresh water, clean bowls, poop bags, toys and towels - everything you need for a comfortable visit. Chairs are available so you can sit back, relax and soak in those gorgeous Pike Peak views while your dog does their thing. Wildlife sightings are part of the charm - you may see hawks overhead, rabbits in the grass and occasionally deer passing by. Two resident barn cats also live on the property, but they're very shy and rarely seen. Please help keep Charlie's Hideaway clean and enjoyable for everyone by picking up after your dog (poop bags are provided and a trash can is located at the gate). This is a quiet, secure space where dogs can run freely, sniff to their hearts’ content, and enjoy real outdoor enrichment without the stress of public dog parks. Many guests find it ideal for reactive dogs, shy dogs, high-energy dogs, or dogs that simply love having room to roam. My own dogs are small dachshunds, so I pay attention to secure fencing and safe access for small dogs as well as large dogs. Beautiful area fully enclosed with 6' fence at the lowest. Separate entrance to this field from the street. Street parking on dead end road. Approx 400' x 200' field for running or throwing balls or frisbies. Picnic table shaded from afternoon sun. No lighting after dark. In winter when days are short pay attention to when the sunset time is. You'll have light for about another 30 minutes after sunset. If you want to run around in the dark that's fine too just bring your own flashlights and lighted dog collars Weekends tend to get fully booked. If you don't see any open slots Change your criteria to 30 minutes as there might be a 30 minute slot still available. If still no slots contact us as we might have an hour opening between guests. Sniffspot requires 30 minute padding so those gaps won't show up but we might be able to squeeze you in. There is a water hydrant near the chicken coop. Lift up on handle and wait three to four seconds for the water to begin flowing. Turn on splitter valve if no water comes out. There's a large green trash can next to the shed for poo and some bags available if you didn't bring your own. In Summer early mornings are usually cool. After noon the picnic table will be in the shade and an hour or two before sunset a good portion of the field is in the shade. But midday can be hot with no shade. I recommend checking the weather forecast before visiting or only booking 30 minutes when hot.

**We will be closing our sniffspot June 20th as we will be moving July 1st. It is very bittersweet as this has been one of the most fun adventures I've ever had! The response has been amazing and I hope to come back and do this again someday! Stay tuned!! If you need more than an hour, please message me. Message me for more details!! We live on a 6-acre property, of which about 2 acres b/w the front yard and backyard are fully fenced in. In the privacy fenced backyard, we have an in-ground pool that is dog friendly from May-late Oct. Oct-May the front & back yards are available for lots of room to run! We live out in East Parker, and it feels like out in the country. We have 2 dogs of our own. 1 is a black lab and 1 a mutt. Owning labs for over 20 years, is how we became passionate about opening our pool to other dogs who love to swim! We do keep our pups securely in the house or sometimes leave the house if requested. Also feel free to send messages about off hours as we may approve them if given enough notice. Note: I leave at least 30 minutes between bookings to assure there are no run ins. We have horses for neighbors and great views. Come enjoy some relaxion and wear out your pup at the same time! We keep the hot tub open year-round which can be added as an extra! Need some socialization? We have a very friendly Black lab named Kennedy that you can borrow for free! She loves to be chased, and she has been known to help dogs swim but showing them the ropes! Our Sniffspot is on approximately 2 acres and is completely fenced in. Access the pasture in the north gate. Drive into the pasture and then close the gate behind you. Then let those fur babies run. Next to the barn is a table & 2 chairs. Water is available under the deck, please bring your own bowl. Please use the trash can to clean up after your pups. Please book your reservation during daylight hours. Obviously this will change based on time of year. Our house color is barnyard red and the gates are past the house. Visit our enchanted forest in the mountains! Update June 2026 - We are winding down our Sniffspot as we are transitioning to a wildlife refuge and hummingbird sanctuary as our hummingbirds have returned for the season! Thank you to all for visiting us and reach out if you’d like more information about visiting the hummingbird sanctuary. ** ** ** If there is snow, you’ll need a 4x4 vehicle for the roads and driveway. The stream is running off and on so be sure to bring some dog towels for wet paws. Our trails - We have 15 acres of trails (2 miles of different trail loops) running through the property, including a narrow seasonal stream that runs in the spring. We use the trails for dog walking, hiking, and mountain biking. May-September we have tons of hummingbirds zipping through the property. The trails are considered intermediate: easy in parts, and intermediate in parts, with uneven Colorado rocky terrain. The trails wind up and down the side of a mountain and empty into the forest and the meadows. There are inclines and declines. This property is not for everyone - it’s very natural. The trails are in great condition and it beautiful, but there is a wild element to it similar to any park in the area. WINTER: We try to keep the trails available in the winter for snowy hikes - you'll need a 4x4 vehicle for roads and driveway. The sun can warm the snowy trails up quickly so we suggest bringing a towel for snowy days. The meadow has a couple of icy spots where the snow doesn’t melt as quickly, but you can easily walk around these areas on the trail. Free amenities available for guest use: - WiFi - Walking/hiking poles - Air horn for guest safety - Dog waste bags and trash can - Fenced in area near parking spot - Picnic table and benches in doggy play areas. - Rock outcroppings great for climbing and photo opportunities - Seasonal stream at the bottom of the mountain trails, with natural springs flowing out of the mountain all year round.
