This is the fenced in backyard of my father’s house which is next to my house. He travels a lot so isn’t always home. Places to sit and screened porch as well if needed for shade or cover from rain. We own the vacant lot in between our houses so you can park in the driveway or can pull up in the grass of the lot right next to the gate of the backyard.

Hello, We would like to welcome our dog friends to our private fully fenced wooded dog park we named The North Star Ranch. The North Star is positioned right over our entrance, and you might see it if you stay at the ranch late. Our ranch currently has no land improvements, which means that you’ll have to bring your own water, snacks, poo bags, and flashlights if you book early or late in the day. Also we have no trash collection, so please take your waste home with you. This is what we do as well. Consider a visit to our ranch a visit to nature that has been fenced in for your dogs’ convenience. And as in all Florida woods, there are some safety concerns you need to be aware of before your reservation. There are more or less visible stumps and vines all over the ranch. There are also some prickly cacti, buckthorn bushes and brambles. Tree logs and trunks have been arranged in some areas as edging for trails. The ranch is a work in progress and we are very slowly cutting prickly plants back to where they aren’t in dogs’ faces, but it’s taking us a while. So be prepared for an encounter with a gentle Florida wilderness. Long pants and closed toed shoes are very much needed! We also suggest tick spray if you’re worried about them. We find that in winter time they are very rare. There is a back gate at the ranch and we don’t suggest venturing out of, as the back of the property is NOT fenced, and trails are unkempt. Please stay in the fenced-in area only for your safety! We hope you and your dog enjoys lots of sniffing while you’re either strolling along or sitting down in one of our picnic chairs. We usually turn them sideways when we leave so they don’t collect rainwater. There are a couple cones and tires and poles around the sitting area and you’re welcome to rearrange them for your dog’s needs. We hope you enjoy our ranch as much us we do!

Enjoy your favorite tunes with our Bluetooth speaker. - Keep your leash handy with our leash hanger. - Stay connected with WiFi access via QR code. - Relax in seating for two while your furry friend plays. - Convenient parking is available onsite. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IN ENTIRETY BEFORE BOOKING: This property is 1.7 acres total, but has approximately 1.5 acres of usable space for dog recreation. __________ Description The front yard is mostly shaded and grassy. The north yard has been planted in native plant species--please do not allow dogs to dig in this area or tear up the delicate native plants as it has taken a lot of time, money, and energy to semi-restore this area for native wildlife and pollinators. Its a great area for sniffing, running, and playing games of "ball search." There is a garden on the SW side of the property that is not fenced off from the rest of the yard, and a large mulched area behind it. Please keep dogs out of the garden beds, but running through the mulched area behind it is fine. _______ Wildlife There is a gopher tortoise burrow along the fenceline near the mulched area. Gopher tortoises are a state threatened species. It is a crime to disturb this state protected species, and dogs are one of the biggest threats to their populations. If ANY disturbance is found near the gopher tortoise burrow, the host WILL contact the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and pursue appropriate venues to press charges. KEEP DOGS AWAY FROM THE GOPHER TORTOISE AND ITS BURROW. The host of this property does not allow any harassment of native wildlife (with the exception of gray squirrels*) including moles, pocket gophers, snakes, and the resident gopher tortoise. *Chasing gray squirrels is alright, as they have become a nuisance to the solar panels and roof.* No venomous snakes have been seen on the property for at least 2 years, when the current owners bought the home, but the host recommends staying away from the mostly unused blue shed in the backyard, next to which there is wood piled, as this makes good escape cover for snakes, though none have been seen in this area yet. _________________________ Dog Wash and Training Area The chainlink fenced area behind the house is a training and wash area. There is some agility equipment laying in the porch and an area of rocks where you can bathe your dog. There is a hose and usually soap on the windowsill. A water station is also available in this area, though you may have to turn on the faucet. _________________ Dog Poop Cleanup A poop scoop is available in the dog wash area and a small, white poop trash bin is next to it. If the bin is full, or poop is far from this small cleanup station, use poop bags instead. Poop bags are available in the black, diamond-shaped dispenser to the left of the garage. Please place used poop bags in the large black trash bin by the gate on your way out. Other than that, enjoy your time here! We have a beautiful large yard with LOTS OF TREES on a cul-de-sac lot in a quiet neighborhood. Our yard is only 3-4 minutes from Interstate I-75, and about 15 minutes from I-10, & we are easy to find! We would love to host your pup or pet at our little oasis of a Sniff Spot and hope to see you soon!!

We have a fully fenced acre just down the street from a huge private lake. Dogs live near and on the property so all sizes shapes and types of dogs are welcome.

Bring your dogs for plenty of roaming space, we have two 50ft long leashes to allow your dogs to explore. Your pets will always be safer than at a traditional dog park because there is a professional trainer on site at all times. All pets must stay on leashes. Thank you!

We live on a great mixture of fields and clear, walkable woods drenched in live oak canopies. We are surrounded by farm land, and your dog may encounter some nose sniffs from the neighbor’s cattle through the fence. Your dog is sure to also enjoy the lingering scents of wildlife that roam our property, such as deer, raccoon, ducks, opossum, and much more. We live off of a rural, two lane road with little traffic. The surroundings of our property are serene for our human guests, and freeing for our canine ones, who want some nature without disturbance.

Bags for clean up are available as well as water bowl next to the hose to give your pets fresh water after playtime. Towels are also available to wipe down your pet. There is a covered area for you to sit and relax while your pets run around and play. I am slowly adding more activities and toys for you to enjoy playtime with your fur babies.
