Bring your fur babies to this beautiful private wildlife preserve in Gerrardstown. Our private property features nature trails that lead to a 7 acre pond and private access to Back Creek. Your pups can take a swim in the pond or splash around in the beautiful crystal clear creek on the backside of the property. There are otters in the pond so be watchful that your fur babies don’t have a negative interaction with the wildlife. We only host one booking at a time so the full 20.56 acres will be yours for the time you reserve. Additionally this property has three main areas. At the base of the driveway, you will find a forested area with clearing to sit in the shade and let your pups play with the available dog toys or explore. Make your way to the back of that first main area to begin your first nature trail which leads you straight to the beautiful 7 acre pond where more seating is available. From the pond there’s another winding trail that takes you through the backside of the forest and then opens up on Back Creek. Parking: You can park at the top of the driveway, on the side of the road, or you can bring your vehicle down the driveway. For small cars it is recommended To park at the top of the driveway due to unlevel terrain. Before you leave the property: please clean up all of your dog waste and dispose of in the waste bins along with any trash. And please place the dog toys back in the bin. I have a total of two acres available for SniffSpot. One is the main area that you immediately enter and is fully fenced. An additional area that is further back behind a cattle gate is available for use but unfenced at this time. We offer toys, water, water bowls, parkour equipment, lots of toys and a small pool for the summer. Long games of fetch or frisbee. Tug. If you dog loves to sniff there are lots of fox, deer and other creatures in the area to enliven your dogs nose! Easy parking available. A true off-leash adventure for dogs who love freedom and nature! Enjoy 100 acres of unfenced fields, rolling hills, and wooded trails—perfect for dogs who love to explore. You can hike on designated trails, on mowed fields or use the ponds for water training for hours with your pup(s). Our farm has: ✔️ Abundant wildlife! ✔️ Wide-open, completely unfenced land ✔️ Natural terrain with fields, hills, and trails ✔️ Ponds, streams and endless sniffing opportunities Parking & Arrival: Please park to the right of the big red barn, by the dumpster and begin walking from there. The farm sits on a very sharp curve, so use caution when entering and exiting the property. Dogs must be on leash when exiting your car and near the road. Once you are safely away from the road and barn, dogs may be off leash for the remainder of your visit. If your dog has never been off leash, we recommend you have an airtag or a GPS collar on them. Please do not let your dog leave the designated walking areas on our farm. Occasionally, you may see an older grampa (my father) working in the fields.

Hello, thanks for checking out my spot! Right off the route 7 corridor my place offers a great area for your dog to stretch their legs. My pup has enough space to get going full tilt a little bit and loves running around back there, she’s a 10 month old border beagle. Perfect for fetch, there’s a long stretch your pup can run back and forth on. Plenty of smells, squirrels and frogs frequent my yard. The pond has two tiers, one isn’t very deep nor large, the lower tier is 2’ deep in the middle. Not large enough to swim laps, but you pup can take a dip and cool off in the summer. Updates are coming to the pond/fire pit area, stay tuned. There’s a large deck that needs work, so please don’t use it. Plenty safe for a dog, but I don’t want it used by people people. Under it there’s some wood and random stuff, nothing dangerous to a dog :)

Horse Farm in Lovettsville

Come for our glorious sunrises on the creek and sunsets in the fields or just to enjoy the day exploring the fields and creek. The dog area starts past the broken black fence behind the house and goes down through the fields and into the woods. I would appreciate it if you would kindly please keep the dogs leashes and wait until you are past the broken fence to allow your dog to do any business. If your dog is under control or if the horses are not out, you can let them loose right after the broken fence. If you think your dog might be nutty with the horses, please take appropriate measures. To get to the creek, go past the broken fence and keep going down the hill to the back tree line. I have included a map in the pictures. And then just keep walking; it’s about five minutes from the house to the trailhead. We have set out fluorescent yellow markers on the trees on the back tree line as you approach the trail. We also put up a blue sign that says “To The Creek” at the trail head. Once in the woods, walk down the steep hill and take the trail to the right at the bottom of the hill, before the little ravine. That trail will take you out to a spot where your dog can splash around and I’ve cut a few trails to explore back there. If you go to the red barn, you’ve gone too far. The trail is right at the base of the hill. We are looking forward to having you!

Dana's Indoor Arena in Frederick

This is a 60'x120' indoor arena with a sand base. Sliding windows will be closed in cold weather. Large sliding door will be open to enter and can be closed for secure playing. There are 3 horses, on the property and 3 barn cats. We do not currently have any dogs, so a very safe play spot.

The pool is completely fenced off from the rest off the yard. You don’t have to worry about your dog(s) accidentally falling in. Our yard is handicap accessible. There are no stairs to climb. The entrance to the backyard is a flat grassy area. The gate leading to the back yard is wide enough for a wheelchair or power chair. The yard has a slight incline, but there are no major obstacles that would prevent a wheelchair from moving around. We are located in Sykesville, MD which is about 30 mins from Baltimore and Columbia. 15 minutes from Owings Mills, Ellicott City, and Westminster.

Spacious Half Acre Off-Leash Retreat

Home to 3 dogs (Griffin 🩶 13.8 years old, Mellow 🖤 11 years old, and Lionel 🤎 5 years old) who know a good sniffing spot when they see one! On August 21, we lost our beloved dog, Griffin 🩶, who spent nearly 14 years enjoying this yard before losing his battle with heart cancer. He was sweet, loyal, strong-headed, and deeply loved. This yard was one of his favorite places to run, play, lounge in the sun, and make memories with our family. We miss him every day and are currently building a memorial in the back left corner of the yard in his honor. Opening our yard to other dogs has become a special way to share the space Griffin loved so much. We like to think he would have been thrilled to welcome new visitors and spend hours catching up on everyone's "smell mail." The yard sits on a half-acre lot with plenty of room for dogs of all energy levels. Whether your pup enjoys sprinting laps, playing fetch, exploring every scent, or simply relaxing in the shade, there's room to do it all. We like to keep the grass short and well-maintained, so we mow and trim regularly, typically once a week and more often during periods of heavy rainfall and rapid growth. We also do our best to stay on top of seasonal insects, bugs, and changing weather conditions to keep the yard as enjoyable as possible. Afternoons and evenings are our favorite times to enjoy the yard. By then, the morning dew has dried, and much of the yard is shaded by the tree canopy, creating a comfortable environment for both people and pets. Even after a heavy rain, the yard generally drains well and dries quickly, with very little mud. On cooler evenings, it's a peaceful place to relax, listen to the sounds of nature, and watch dogs enjoy the freedom of the open space.
