Grace Dog Park in Myrtle Creek

Welcome to the Grace Dog Park Sniffspot. First-time guests receive a $5 discount with the coupon code "TRYTHESPOT24". Please note: both gates open inwards into the park. Update: We have planted 5 flowering pear trees along the main road. The top terrace by the road is quite muddy from all of the digging & planting. It should fill in with grass in a few weeks. The covered shelter is done! We now have a 12'x14' covered shelter to keep you out of the rain or hot sun. Thank you to all of our guests that have been frequenting this spot! We are so grateful to have you as guests and to be able to share this space with you and your dogs. We will continue to add features and make improvements as we can. The fire hydrant is done! Hopefully your dogs will appreciate the "ambiance" this provides! We do have some muddy areas from the rain. Just too many dogs having too much fun! It's really not that bad, just some areas that are a little sloppy on rainy days. It does dry out quickly though. This approximately one-acre park is fully fenced with brand new 5’ tall non-climb wire fencing. There are two gates for access: a walk-through gate if you choose to park on the wide gravel shoulder along the road, and a drive-through gate which allows you to bring your vehicle inside the park onto a large gravel parking area to unload your furry friends. Inside the park you will find a gently sloped grassy field with some nice flat areas also. Some rock wall terraces about 2’ to 3’ tall can be used for sitting, and for your larger breed dogs to jump up and down on. There are a couple Adirondack chairs and a large wooden picnic table for the humans as well as the dogs (our Lab loves to jump up on top and take in the view). A water hydrant provides fresh water from our local municipal water source, Tri City Water. Nearby is a mailbox with doo doo bags and sanitary supplies. You will also find two wooden crates: one filled with an assortment of toys, and the other provides a nice stick library for your pooch to choose from. We will be adding benches and more fun dog-friendly features as time goes on. Seven or eight months out of the year you will find green grass (and weeds), in the summer months it will be dry dormant grass. The park is always kept mowed and there will be no tall grass or weedy areas. We do not spray any herbicides or pesticides of any kind inside the park or along the fence lines. This park does not share a fence line with any other properties and there is a wide perimeter around the park on three sides. The fourth side is along Crest Drive, a medium trafficked residential road. There are some neighboring small dogs along the back line that will say hello now and then, but there is a 80’ buffer between the fence lines on this side. We respect your privacy while using the park, and even though we would love to come over and play with every dog visitor and say hello to their humans, we will only meet you by specific request. This dog park is less than one mile off Interstate-5 at exit 103. This exit features a gas station, Grocery Outlet, Tesla charging stations, McDonald’s, Tractor Supply (dog toys!), A&W, a donut shop, Dollar Tree, and more. Generally the park is available to book during daylight hours, but there is some flexibility for your special requests. There is a nice light right across the street that lights up much of the park nicely at night. If you choose to park your vehicle inside the park, please open the gate slowly so that it doesn’t swing against the post too quickly. Both gates have combination locks on them. The currents code will be provided upon scheduling your visit. This is a non-smoking park. Alcoholic beverages and drug use are also not allowed in the park. Please do not play loud music in the park. Thank you for choosing the Grace Park Sniffspot!

Jasper Memorial Dog Sanctuary *Temporarily Closed Due to Severe Storm Damage*

Thank you to all my amazing guests who have given your dog(s) opportunity to find their calm within by visiting Jasper Memorial Dog Sanctuary. It is amazing to see your dogs and you finding your inner peace. Thank you too for following all of the rules to keep this SS sustainable into the future. The fee set is the amount needed to allow me to keep this site open and provide improvements when needed. (I understand other sites charge less, but I've learned charging less is not financially sustainable. Hosts do not earn what they charge). I love hosting new and returning guests. RECENT IMPROVEMENTS: A 6'x6' sand box has been added. Please encourage digging in this location. Discourage digging in all other locations for the safety of everyone. A poop bag dispenser has been installed on a post near the gate and will be kept filled. MEMBERSHIP AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST to repeat/returning guests after we have met. Please message me if interested. Jasper Memorial Dog Sanctuary, named in memory of my soul dog Jasper, is no larger than 2 acres in size (I do not have specific data on the actual acreage) and fully fenced. It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
